It's only a small place so only one to two person mans it each shift.

Are there any "qualifications" i might need? lol, but seriously nothing special right?
The pay is fine, but probably diferrent from where you guys live...

Well ... um ... no, probably nothing special needed other than being over a certain age depending on where and store policy. And they might drug test you to avoid legal troubles ...

... either way, go for it. Worst that can happen is you won't get the job.

Haha, oki. I checked, and nope, no drug tests. Yay!

I already applied, just waiting now...

A headshop would never get any employees if they drug tested them.

That's like saying a cow that lives on a pasteurization farm has never been milked.

yeah, in the states, applying for a job at a headshop is tough to get hired, because usually they are single family, or a couple of freinds, who start their own shops, so they dont need any employees.

Lombardi Time

by Jack Carroll

The great Hall of Fame football coach of the Green Bay Packers, Vince Lombardi, invented a strategy that he recommended to his coaches and players. It came to be known as "Lombardi Time," and it embodied a valuable habit that is even more appropriate to salespeople than it was to football players.

Lombard Time states "Show up for every important business meeting 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled meeting time." The idea is to use the 15 minutes to catch your breath, collect your thoughts and preplan what you want to accomplish in the meeting and how you'll go about it.

I've practiced Lombardi Time off and on during my career and have found it to be not only valuable for planning purposes, but a wonderful source of humor and character reading. It turns out you can find out a great deal about people by watching them arrive at a meeting.

If you look closely, you'll observe that people arrive at meetings the way they sell and the way they lead their lives. But, you'll only be able to tell, if you're on Lombardi Time yourself.

Gotta go now. I've got an important meeting in 20 minutes.

Heh, I could see headshops giving drug tests and only hiring people who fail. That'd probably cut down on the number of narcs working at such stores.

I would love to work in a headshop on the weekends. I'd be squeezing all the customers for their connections in order to create a regional weed network!
