oxycodone...like weed?

hey, i got my wisdom teeth (all four of those bastards) out 3 days ago and got a medication for oxycodone, which my oral surgeon told me is a narcotic (controlled substance in other words) pain releiver. I thought it's just be like strong tylenol or something. For the first two days I took 1 every 6 hours and it made me drowsy and relieved of pain :) , but nothing weed-like. I just took 2 and a half with some tea cause I was curious 30 minutes ago and no fuckin joke, I am High now! Not exactly like weed but I feel relaxed and dizzy and slow-motion effect just like weed. This is great cause I'm dry for like a week and I feel amaaaaaizing. Anybody wana help me out as to why though, cause I've never taking medication and gotten hghi befoe? GREAT GANdhi I'm happY!

oxycodone is very addictive, i was on them for a while and took them everyday like candy, i had the 15mg ones, and i hated the fact i itched all the time! but the high lasted me almost 8 hrs though (im a woman) so thats why i loved them.....but anyways i wouldnt take more than what the dr told you to take, you can overdose on those fukers easily, i just hope once your out you dont feen for them.....

I love percocets maybe to much. But oxycontin is much better none
of that shitty acetaminophen you have to take in mass amounts when
you pop percs. Id hate to see my liver I take around 15 percs or lortabs
a day. Dental work was how I got started so be careful with those.

depending on milligrams, im a chic and for my 15's i only took a half of one and i was fuked up, i think if you took over 2 at one time would be very dangerous and risky, dont become a junky man cause thats what they do and for god sakes dont snort the shyt! i have no respect for fukers that snort pills just because they are inpatient to feel the fukn high....dude just take the pills as the dr said to, which means nothing more than one at a time and you should be fine.....

325 mg's of tylenol along with 5, 7.5 or 10 mg's of oxycodone, just
crush them before taking them or chew them if you are that bad off

me and a couple of my friends snorted like a pill and a half and we were all messed up. when you swallow them they have a thing on them that controls how much you feel at a time, but when you chew them or crush them up and snort them they hit you all at once and omg its crazy. its supposed to be stronger than heroin, it will lay you out.

I don't feel any addiction towards them what so ever, though.

It was a fun night.

took those for a while after a pretty severe injury.... kills the pain but one turns into two into three into more quick.. kills your creativity too def. will help u get some sleep, but weed is much better for cartoons.

oxycontin/oxycodone very toxic, will affect your hearing long term..

Pian killers are very habit forming here is what I have went thru
in about a months time 120 lortabs 10 mg(hydrocodone) and 110
percocets 10 mg(oxycodone). I guess its kind of hypocritical to
say this but don't take anymore pain killers for a while after those

taking pain pills like lortabs and percocets for so many years I
basically take these to keep from feeling like shit every day.

wait till you run out.....you will wish you never took those fuckers in the first place. Had plenty of experiences with this drug and running out is the worst!! A few days of roughing it and you will be fine. You'll know what I mean when the goodies are gone.....

Almost just as bad as heroin but not really. You wont be able to sleep very well once you are off of them, trust me. You wont get the crazy shakes and shit like heroin but you WILL have mild withdrawls....good luck and stick with the weed. Next time you get pain killers ask for vicodin...not nearly as addictive and no where near the same withdrawls.

Oxycontin is the Purdue brand name for Oxycodone ER (Extended Release). Now that Purdue's patent has expired, Endo makes the generic. OC is pure oxycodone plus some inert binders, while what you normally get for PRN, or as needed pain relief, is a compound of acetaminophen (Tylenol) and a relatively small amount of oxycodone HCl. The standard is 5mg/325mg oxycodone/acetaminophen, although they have 5mg, 10mg, and 15mg (similar to Vicodin, or hydrocodone/APAP). Oxycodone is twice as strong as morphine per mg and is in the same DEA schedule II class of drugs (schedule II is the highest chance of abuse, same as morphine and cocaine).

Oxycontin comes in 10, 20, 40, and 80mg tablets (and no longer 160mg, the ones Rush Limbaugh liked). If crushed, the time-release membrane is broken, and you get all 12 hours worth of medication all at once. If you are not opioid tolerant, 80mg all at once, plus a little alcohol can stop you breathing

heroin but trust me it does not contain heroin, heroin is not in any

This thread caught my attention as I was extremely bored and browsing the forum. Several weeks ago SWIM acquired a nice quantity of generic 40mg oxycodone tablets. For the past few weeks SWIM has been dosing between 10mg and 60mg of oxycodone or at least 5mg hydrocodone almost daily, abstaining only a couple days here and there. SWIM recently took a three day break and experienced absolutely no withdrawals. How does one explain such a phenomenon? Was it luck? Genetics? Some knowlegde and a little self control?
Or could it have been the simple fact that for a sizeable percentage of the population it takes several weeks of frequent administration of high doses of opioids, even those named heroin, before any significant symptoms of withdrawal would appear?

So why do people believe that oxycodone is such a highly addictive and toxic substance? Could they be living in some fantastical reality where they've been lied to by their educator's, legislature's and media? Perhaps they've been posting on a message board that condones the recreational usage of marijuana while simultaneously fueling ignorance and intolerance when it comes to other substances yet allows minors to engage in discussions related to topics of a sexually explicit and religious nature meanwhile advertising 'legal budz' smoking alternative scum with the addition of a crappy arcade to make everyone feel better while the pharmaceutical industries shove shitty prescription stimulants and so called antidepressant drugs that actually increase your odds of committing suicide down your throat????

i was on it!! got hooked, totally legally. Script and every thing. One turned to two, turned to three with a couple of beers within a few days. And then life sucked without it. i craved it.
After just a few days, what killed pain and made u silly isn't even enough to stave the crave.

i was on and off variations of these drugs from 2001-2004... all legally obtained by the docs who were treating my spinal injury.

the manufacturers of these drugs themselve publish how it may deteriorate your hearing and it toxicity to your kidneys.

I've taken 40mg of Oxycontin at one time, and it was very enjoyable. Isn't a weed-like feeling in any way to me, but I was pretty ripped off of it. Can be sitting there, and be able to talk and move and such, then five minutes later, I couldn't do anything. Definately the pain killer that I would want if I had any pain :)
