that was home to my family for a number of years.
parents moved us from orenge county, california. stayed with some friends
who lived way out camp creek rd. past the elementery school.
Rented a house right next to horace meyers bean growing acres,that was
our back yard for several years.(is meyers still there i wonder?).
used to catch trout in the mckenzie river.
from there, moved to veneta, went to the elmira school system.(hope that
has improved some,)
moved back to eugene, sheldon high school area. warmed the bench for the
irish football team. my senior year, went undefeted untill meeting churchill
in the last game, lost 7 to 6, played medford in the first round of the playoffs,
lost 24 to 22. they drove 70 yards and scored the winning goal with no time
on the clock. they were the state champs that year.
That was back in '77. joined the navy in '82 to '90, ended up in
washington st from late '90 to the present. i'm a die hard duck fan living
in husky country. what fun it is when the duck football team is flying high.
planing a motorcycle ride from here to see my folks(still live in eugene)
then out to camp creek to blue river and surronding areas this summer.
