my friend blended up an ounce of our weed and turned it into powder that we sprinkle on top of our blunts, packed with normal dank. has anyone ever tried this?

The only 'benefit' I could see is the finer herb would fill in little 'gaps' of the what you crumpled up for the blunts. So you get a more 'solid' blunt', but you've also wasted some crystals and material in the blenders. I would think the effects even themselves out...you're just smoking more, not really getting 'higher'.

those little gaps are what the smoke travles through......if u roll a joint too tight and i find you cant toke it..its because the gaps r filled and theres no way for the smoke to travel down the joint to your mouth....

but youre definatly right in the losing the crystalls imgaine all the dust stuck in those little nooks and crannies in blenders. maybee a baby food blender and an 8th for the experience to say youve doen it but other then that.,.,no point

yeah, it's very hard to hit.. but i got amazingly high off of it last night. like, high like my 2nd time smoking. he was trying to grind it up, he only put it in the blender for 2 seconds and when he turned it off it was powder

i actually prefer grinding down my weed.... blender or grinder.... i think if its a blunt it will burn slower.... less tracking.... and i still get blazed :D
