They are pretty much a way of growing plants in a hydroponic setup. They relay on the roots being emersed in water constandly and there is air that is supplied by an air pump and giving the plants the oxygen they need. Here is a basic plan for a bubbler system that I found a long time ago, but there are many variations you can use for this system, just use your imagination.

Here is a link that will help you out with all aspects of Bubbler systems.

I am just as happy as I can be with my bubbler system I had a mr nice SHIT 1 female in a waterfarm and it was in a 6 inch r/w cube as the medium and I germinated some afghan and got 3 females out of it in a mister box under a 65watt compaq flo for 2 weeks and i got this 5 hole bubbler system and i wanted to put all of them into the bubbler for less work and also to see what it would be like WELL the shots above are the 1 in the waterfarm at 2 weeks and Iam going to post some of all of them NOW in the bubbler system YOU will be amazed! Im so happy with it I can hardle stand it the one mr nice I had all of them under a 125 watt compac flou for 10 days in the bubbler ! I had to tear the 6 inch cube to pieces to get my plant into the 3 inch net for the bubbler ajnd i hurt that plant I know I did and i figured OH WELL maybe I will get a buzz because its gonna die!
It has doubled its growth as far as full not too much height because I cut it back at the 1 st v in the stalk and it looks like a mini shrub and this is on 24/7 of the 125 watt compaq flo. The pictures will speak volumes and im about to go to my 400 cooled HD and go to 18/6 for 2 weeks and then to my HPS 400 watt for it to come to flowering at 12/12 and all of the nutes are GH Flora and im using the Phase feeding Chart for Grow and also some Nectar as a suppliement. And the roots are like a mass of telephone wires in a building substation its amazing! Im stuck with the bubbler from here on out! I luv it! Pictures tonite!

DWC (Deep Water Culture) units are commonly referred to as "bubblers" and are used for a method of growing plants hydroponically in a bucket of nutrients with the plant suspended over the nutrients and the roots growing down into the nutrients which are super oxygen saturated by pumping large volumes into the nutrient solution with the aid of an aquaurium stlye pump with an airstone attached to the airline.
Plants grown in this method grow at superfast rates due to the fact that they are being fed large amounts of oxygen. This is the same reason that the roots can sit in the nutrient solution without drowning. This method of growing is perfect for a hobby grower or one who wishes to grow for personal use. Large scale commercial growers do not generally find this method appropriate for the reason that each plant is housed in its own reservoir, and would simply be entirely too much maintenance in a large scale grow.
For someone who only needs say 6 plants, this method of hydroponic cultivation is an excellent way to grow. When an environment has been created to provide your plants with the optimum conditions required for fast, healthy growth, the one limiting factor left is how much oxygen can be provided to the roots of the plants. DWC growing will take care of this factor and then some! The roots will recieve huge amounts of oxygen for some of the fastest growth rates possible. DWC is one of the easiest and yet most effective forms of hydroponic cultivation.

DARNPJ,
Did you grow your Mr. Nice Shit out from seed? I have an original pack from Shantibaba, the breeder, but am having a hard time with germination rates. I am sure it will work out though.
I have only germinated (tried to) two Shit seeds so far, neither have cracked. My average would have to be around 97-99% germination rates using my method.
I hope the seeds are still viable. They have been stored properly (frozen), and I have germed other seeds that have been twice the age of these with decent results.
Only time will tell.
Peace

Yea Student ,
I soaked them in a bit of distilled water and seaweed extract and then took them and put them in a plastic flat like heavy plastic container for sandwiches and it has a top and i put them between toilet paper about 3 layers and NOT SMELLY kind normal tp and just keep them damp not soaking and i checked the dampness daily allowing it to get some fresh air and i put it ontop of my 125w compaq flou with a grill ontop of the reflector and let them germ and they had some healthy 1/2" lil baby root in about 3 to 5 days it seems they worked but had to watch for hermes. They are doing well! Just went to 400 Sulphur with a cooled reflector and also a fresh air source and have pumped up the GH Bloom and and am gonna push for the juice!
