All i can say is, LOL. Last night i had just finished blazing when one of those anti pot commercials came on. It was about some young teenage guy who had smoked pot with his friends yesterday. then the next day, his friends wanted to see if he could outrun the lumberyard guard dog, pic pic. As the boy is running, he is thinking "this is stupid, and so is smoking pot." then some above the influence crap flashes on the screen.
First off, if i was stoned, i would barely be walking, let alone running. And no stoner on this board is stupid enough or has the inniative to outrun a huge ass dog. Only a sober retard would think of that.

Or the one where the girl is squashed down because of "pressure".
I don't see how a commercial like that is going to stop someone from smoking pot.
There was this one in a magazine a few years ago that was (I think) showing joints and blunts and then next to each of them it would mention something stupid like "tried to make a hat out of ground beef".
Ok, first of all, I would never make a hat out of ground beef, stoned or not. Second, if they're promoting anti-drug, then why are they SHOWING kids the methods? Yeah, I mean it could be seen as making sure they're "aware" of what it looks like, but isn't that what 7th grade Health is for?

Meh dont get mad. Those idiots will come up with anything to publicize another anti-pot commericial. But I've finally come to realize all this anti-pot shit is fake as fuck. The government depends on drug dealers and marijuana for the money. Hell, they even supply some patients with marijuana joints so I'm really not worried about marijuana going anywhere so really those anti-pot fools are wasting their time. They cant tell us pot kills us anymore so now they make up shit that people do when their stoned. Those kids that are playing on those anti-pot commercials probably only play on them so they can get money to go buy a 1/2 lol!

my roomates and i were watching TV once and they had the one where the girl was like liquid on the couch and her friend was like "this is all we do anymore" and my roomate's girlfriend just says to the TV "well what do you WANT to do?" i've never really known any stoners to turn down a fun activity just because they're stoned. my favorite one is where they run over the girl on the bike. stupid unrealistic commercials.

there is this one commercial where they focus on two guys staring at the wall and there is this voice (jamaician) saying how stupid they are for thinking about smoking and driving.
cut to the next scene the voice is coming from an african tribe mask or something like that.
then theres this other one where this guy is about to go out the door with the keys in his hands. and then cut to the next scene you see a pack of pirate papers talking to him saying " trust me you are high, dont drive"
those commercials make me laugh.

I think there is some truth to THAT anti-pot commercial. If you are smoking pot, you aren't going to go out and wreak havoc on the neighborhood, you aren't going to put a flaming bag of shit on old man zimmerman's doorstep, you aren't going to drive your car around and run over school children, and you obviously aren't going to go rape people or hack people to bits (as it is affirmed in the classic film Reefer Madness). It's as harmless as aspirin.
What is the fucking deal with the "just say no" philosophy anyways? Like anybody runs around trying to GIVE their drugs to other people. When was the last time a drug user got up in your face , saying "COME ON MAN TRY THIS JOINT EVERYBODY IS DOING IT, NOBODY WILL FIND OUT AND IT MAKES U LOOK SO K3W1 OMG! YOU ARE SO NOT COOL BICOS U ARE NOT SMOKING!!!" Sorry, as tempting as it would be to take these FREE DRUGS that you are offering me, i just *have* to say no because i promised the DARE officer i will never smoke weed in kindergarten.
my point: the drug war is stupid, unfounded bullshit. The only reason we have it is to geneate revenue for the police departments. You know that they get to cease and keep all the cash from drug deals, don't you?? If John Q. Policeman and his team of thugs cease 10,000 dollars from cannabis cultivation, that's 10,000 dollars in the police force's pocket. Doesn't that piss you off, knowing that the POLICE are profiting the most from cannabis? Kind of sends a hypocritical message; which is why they don't flaunt it.

I read this quote one time and I thought it was pretty funny. "America ranks first in illegal drug use and last in education. So it seems that the War on Drugs doesn't work at all. What we should do is start a War on Education, and in no time we'll all be hooked on phonics."
I just got through reading this book on neurochemistry, and it was saying how the logical fallacy of the Reagan administration's "This is you brain on drugs" is that your brain is always on drugs. Always. If your brain wasn't on drugs, it would be a hunk of meat between your ears with as much useful parts as the appendix.

The point of the commercial isn't that the guy was so stoned he ran with a junkyard dog. It's that he listened to his friend about smoking pot, so he listened to his friend about running with the dog. It doesn't work at all because no one wants to run from a junkyard dog, but everyone wants to have a good time.

Also the commercial with the two girls and one of them is always high and she's all flat and layin on the couch and her friend says that she's all boring now cuz all she does is get high. I'm just sittin there thinkin, if u dont wanna kick it with her i will!!!, shit, her friend probably thinks she's boring.

The thing is, I've been nearing the end of my teenage years, and never ONCE have I had anything like "peer pressure" like those stupid commercials claim. Sure, my friends who have never tried pot are curious, and ask about it, but I never say "You should come try it with me," instead, I say "If you ever want to try it, I'll help you if you want." I've introduced four friends to the herb this way, and all four of them came seeking ME, begging to try it. That's peer pressure!
They had a great time. These stupid anti-drug commercials are ALWAYS about pot! I've only seen a very few amount dealing with coke, crack, heroin, ect. It's always pot, pot, pot!
I ask to those anti-pot people who put me down, "Have you ever tried it?"
The answer is always "No, but..." and they are always ready to come up with an excuse that their friend's friend smoked pot and was dumb. If someone abuses pot that much, then that is THEIR issue. I have so much disrespect for those who smoke pot, and brag about it to their buddies (usually the upper middle class white kid) like "Oh MAAAN I got SOO high last night, and so wasted!" These kiddies give the rest of us responsible pot smokers the bad name that has been unfortunately branded onto us...
