Ok here is the skibby, I am really new ok only been smokin for about 3 months, decided to plant sum, started with 5 hubby killed 3 so now I am down to these 2, both are females (always wanted a daughter) any how both are about a week apart in growth time, one has skinny leaves and the othe fat ones, the skinny leaved one, on the top of each branch, it is kinda like twisting, they are about 2 1/2 mo. old. and are 31/2-4ft tall, grown in a green house. my question is, how do I know when they are gonna start to florish? and grow some damm bud? here are some pics. I want to try and trick them in to early budding like moving them inside to a dark room for 12-14 hrs them back out side, is this possible??:confused: and also can you tell if they are sativa or indica??? Read u can tell by the leaves is that true??

If you just make sure the plants are getting 12 hours of light and 12 of dark and ur plants are lookin pretty nice man.

thank you I'm pretty impressed too after seeing some other pics of out door plants, any how how would I give them 12 of dark? could I cover them with a black trash bag or should I bring them inside??

determine what?? the sativa/indica issue?, tricking them into budding?, both are female? be specific, I'm not a mind reader. But to answer your question, read about it all in these forums, posted by other ppl.

Ok here they are just a few days later, something must be wrong:( the tops are :( .. twisting up and turning kind a yellowish color:( I started covering them up at night. it's been like 3 days and this morning this! I'm gonna just CRY if I hurt them! oh and no I AM NOT COLORED BLIND, but I do have a blindness for assholes :D

Well generally the plants with the broader leaves would be indica and the one with the skinnier leaves would be sativa. You may have a Cross of indica/sativa. I'm guessing just bag seed so hard to tell but. That is how you tell anyway. Also if you want the plants to start to flower now ya you would have to bring them inside to a dark closet or something for 12 hours then back out into light for 12 hours or if you are patient enoguh you could just wait for the sunlight to start to lessen and get closer to 12/12 and they will flower on their own. To tell if they are male or female the females have little hairs (pistils) that shoot out from around branch sites and the males have little pollen sacs (they look like little balls haha) that come out from the plant sites. BY THE WAY Philly, they are both girls determined that 2 weeks ago when they had 2 white hairs popping out on them, not just one set but several, so that there PRETTY MUCH DETERMIND THAT HUH?????

what white hairs? the light cycle hasnt changed yet. u could very well have 2 males. be patient and you will find out:thumbsup: take a look at this (u dont really need to sign up for this bullshit) http://www.almanac.com/rise/ ...my girls wont flower until sept. 26. this is my first time growing so ima wait it out. Philly stop with tha asshole behavior, ask anyone they will tellyou when you have white hairs (called PISTELS) as in 2 friggin white hairs (called PISTELS) u have a female, maybe since your dont have any hairs you have males! and besides HOW DID YOU DETERMIN YOU HAD FEMALES??? since this is as well your first growing! Thank you soo much for your advice tom and bliss, I will for sure keep ya posted, I have started bringing them inside at 6:30 and put them out again at 6:30, man its hard labor getting up that damm early :) but I am sure they will flower soon enough, oh and they are not bag seed?? what ever that is, I got seed from some bud I got at a dispencery, and a few times there were seeds so I decided to plant them, one is called Neubulla, and the other is Purle Passion, I can't believ so many different types of that stuff is out there. :)

Yeah tone it down a bit. It's never a good idea to sex too early and get your hopes up...which is what I think philly was trying to tell you. And it's spelled PISTIL. You might want to spell check before you caps lock rant.
About the tops turning yellow, they seem to be fine. Slight yellowing generally occurs in most vascular plants in some stages of growing. Nice grow though- you should baked as hell after harvest : )

I think what your seeing are signs of pre-flowers which should give you a really good idea of what you have but the guy's are right don't jump the gun just yet, you could have hermies or some shit like that. As far as trying to force flower I don't think you will be happy with the results. 12 hours of dark means complete dark. One tiny little ray of light from a crack in the closet door could actually stun your plants slowing growth, and you have to be able to move them at the same time every day for the next few months with out missing a day or you could also screw them up. I think your plants look really good and would just let them take there natural cousre. As far as the twisting and shit, try flushing you soil with plenty of water and see if that helps. You could have a lot of salts built up in the soil if you have been useing chemical ferts. Good Luck

I am on my first grow at the moment as well, and im tending to find that its very easy to panic too early.
For example, one of my 6 plants leaves are all now bright yellow, i worried to start with but its producing buds and thc in vast quantities and looks as healthy if not more healthy than the other 5.
Take it easy, have a smoke and chill out.

ok since u got seeds from some weed that u were smoking, it is bag seed that ur growing. and i think philly is right, u cant tell sex until u start flowering so i dont think the "pistils" u saw werent pistils

I would say YEAH THEY WERE PISTILS :D and for as it goes with Phillykid, read that all his plants are gone but 1 due to critters and the fact they were males. soooo sorry to hear that:( but hey shit happens right?? any how here are a few pics of my girls doing so well. they are girls:thumbsup: and they look great. i wish mine were doing so well.i am on my 9th or 10th grow and this year mine are looking like shit.put out 80ish gonna harvest 10 to 15.pretty dissapointing.......but i dont use anything for pests (if mother nature needs it then i feel let her have it )mice got alot of the seedling i put out and deer got alot of the big ones i put out.oh well life goes on.it did however motivate me to get an indoor going.i get the place soon so in the next few weeks i should be "moving in":D cant wait.keep up the good work:thumbsup:

well thats what I have been told by many, and there are no brown tips on the hairs, musta been just he way the lighting was. but I can say that one plant has shown some signs of browning on the tips of the leaves, but only on older leaves, I just trime them back and all has been good. I have grown Orchids, and other plants and that seemed to help them so why not with these plants right???

yep they are budding/blooming what ever it is called, but one thing is a one plant that I have it is blooming but looks different them the others, this one maybe its a dude plant?? no sings of hairs, but also no signs of lil balls on the stems or flowers but does look like its starting to bud up,

Yes this is my first time growing, it was a bet, in the beginning, I watered them when I rememebered, and they just keep growing, then at a month old they looked so sad, I gave them Gatorade lol, and now shit me female tops the green house, the male tops the 8 ft. enclosure we built for him, still he has no lil balls hanging off the stem or floweres but the female is full of pistils, lol she is one hairy biotch she needs a shave!

She is doing rather well, she is taller then me, and my husband which is 5'11 and all the tips are full of hairs!:dance: where can I get blooming stuff, Or should I just leave her alone? and let nature do its thing?
p.s What is a Hermie?? I am still waiting on my male plant to grow some balls (lol) but it does have flowers, but no round balls yet???

This is all very Strange. Why did you ask how to force flowering if they already were. When you have pistil production the plant is already flowering, no need to force flower, just let nature run its course.

yes ofcuse it is and man not a bad little grow there for a first timer and i called tell from the start that they where female shit my 10year old brother called tell you that they where female lol but man dont fuck with some thing that was growing fine way befor we where here just let them bud on there own dont fuck around with them and it will not be as good smoke if you make them bud it's the same as any thing you want a bike right and you have been saving up for monthes but the bike you want is $700 but you walk in to the bike shop with the money you have saved and you only got $400 and theres a bike there not as good but still a bike and you buy it was it worth buying it ofcuse not lol wait and ya'll shal get the best dont wait and it will just be a waste
