Hello everyone, we're in Paris Ont, & are actively fighting the prohibition laws. Kinda got shoved into it & then jumped into it, since we got busted. We're back in court Oct, 4. We wanted everyone to know that the laws on M.J. are very clouded right now. The courts admit that the law died on Aug 1, 2001 Terry Parker Day, but they say a judge resurected a new law on Oct. 7, 2003. The problem with that is only parliament can make laws, not judges. (POLCOA) Oh, and the judge that they say resurected this law....he refused to put in writting that he made a law. SO there is no order saying the law is alive, which takes us back to Terry Parker Day!!! We're in court Oct. 4 to challenge the laws again with our motion. Go here to read about it http://health.groups.yahoo.com/grou...ss/message/7400 or here http://www.medpot.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=10379 You may need to read through.
If there's anyone out there that's been charged with an M.J. offence that wants to stand up & fight back instead of lying down & taking it in the rear, just let us know & we'll help get you in court. Nothing used in the motion can be used against you in your trial & if we win there is no trial. So what have you got to lose? Let's clogg up the court systems Canada wide & they'll have to listen. By the way you don't need a lawyer & it's free. Only the costs for photo copies.

We have won & so have a lot of other people!!!
You don't always hear about them because they're gag ordered etc...
So what do you have to say now Alison Myrden Member of L.E.A.P. -
Law Enforcement Against Prohibition
It's now 5 years later & we hear that you've joined a class action law suit claiming that the M.J. laws are dead....ha ha ha
This is what we've been saying since Terry Parker KILLED it back in 2001.
Glad you finally came to your senses about this, too bad you deterred sooooooo many people from seeking help from John & us over the years....how do you sleep at night?
John's kits are free to use & can do NO harm to anyone, it will NOT effect your charges, only good can come from it...at the worst case scenario you loose the motion & go on to trial like nothing ever happened.
Believe us before John helped us they were demanding jail & after the help to Appeals Court they dropped 8 charges & escorted us out the door.
We all owe Terry Parker & John Turmel a debt of gratitude for not giving up...especially when they had so many people on the sidelines trying to sabotage their work.

Aren't you going a little harsh on someone who apparently is our ally in all this? I think her concern was the possibility of people gaining a sense of false hope. It wasn't guaranteed the case would go that way, and if people had put their resources at this project instead of something else they're more naturally suited for, only to have it fail it would have been demoralizing to activists.
Once the evidence was made clear that it was winning, she shifted her support to the case in question. To me it seems that Alsion and her organization are more experienced on the direct practical aspects of obtaining permits and helping people start coop gardens within the boundaries of Health Canada law. Distributing pamphlets and so forth may be a weak point in that organization, and be too inefficient for them to use unless they have some good evidence it will be successful. And the same for filling out the form letter or whatever it is in the kit.
We need to be good to eachother if we're all on the same team. I realize Alison's probably not active on these boards anymore, but it still bothered me enough I felt compelled to respond.

You apparently don't know the case history in all of this. Let's just say she went out of her way & did everything she could to scare people away from obtaining help, simply because she didn't like the man who put together the court kits, John Turmel. BTW the kit is so easy to use even Alison could have managed it without demoralizing anything!!
She is now involved in a class action law suit against the Canadian government for lying & covering up the truth....that the laws on M.J. were repealed in 2001 & only parliament can create a new law once a law has died, which is what repealed means.
She tried to discredit him & now is using a similar argument to the one that we've been using in court for over 6 years!!!
If it weren't for Alison & Allen Young we wouldn't need to prove the law died, they would have announced that the MMAR did not save the CDSA. They went to court & "FIXED" it & we are all still getting busted & having to prove what is FACT. It's a big cover up & now she wants a piece of the pie. Nice "shift"
You also have no idea of the way she treated us for being on the winning side, that is Terry Parker & John Turmel, the men that did all the work & KILLED the law. She didn't even know us & attacked us on many, many sites for a long time.
The thing is everyone has the right to fight their charges without repercussions, she couldn't get that through her head.
False hope??? Better than no hope we'd say & that's what you get when you hire a lawyer. No guarantee the case would go that way?
Wrong!! It was & it is still spelled out in black & white, she would never take the time to read it because she was busy listening to her lawyer & hating on REAL activists.
We have 3 wins in court of our own & then there's all the people John helped & so on. She must have heard of all the good things we've all been doing, we just hope she doesn't get the chance to screw up or should we say "fix" any more laws!!

Please do your home work before typing.
This is the kind of lack of knowledge we encounter every day!!
Go look up Terry Parker. On July, 31, 2001 he killed the law. In 2003 Alison & others went to court over the MMAR not being constitutional. They undermined the efforts of Parker & Turmel. The judge resurrected a dead law that day. This is not possible for a judge to do.
Shortly after that the Crown announced that he was giving stays to everyone who had pot charges against them between 2001 & 2003.
This is an oxymoron situation because the law was repealed, dead, thus the stays, yet a court says they fixed it. Only Parliament can make new laws.
The supreme court of Canada refused to hear the appeal by the Crown (Frankel) in the Kreiger case. In his submissions he admitted the law was dead & needed to get in to the highest court in Canada in order to fix it.....they denied his appeal.
Case closed the law is STILL dead!!!
Get involved, write your MP.
