I recently read in High Times, that when pruning plants your not sposed to take the big leaves just cut off the tip of the branch. Also, they said ur plant can become a herme if too much pruning is done because it can shock it.
Anywayzz..
Whats the maximum amount of clones you think you could take from a plant at a time without hurting it?

These all came from the same plant and it sustained no ill effects. There were 12 all together but only 10 survived.

Well L0r6dIN6faM6ous,
Whats the maximum? Thats going to depend on what light you have your mother under. A plant under a 400 will give more cuttings than a plant being maintained under a 150watter.
A mother could be a big shaggy one or a small bonsai. You as the grower has full control. I have never heard of one being under constant light and well maintained turning herme but you never know.
As far as cuttings are concern, yes you should take new growth off the mother but others have risen to the top of the game and can do just about anything. Once you get a prized mother you can try anything you please.
Keep reading and learning.

I wouldn't clone but the newest growing stems at the base of the plant.
