Hey guys of cdot.com I am here to now ask a question. I have tried using Calmag to lower the pH of my soil.

Current pH : 7.8

Shouldnt Calmag lower my pH? I do not have pH down or pH up kit.

Edit :: My other 6 plants that are in soil are all high in pH , I keep 3 seperate in 3 rooms. All of the plants pH's (the 12) are high, and I cannot correct with Calmag, any suggestions?

ph down and ph up are only 5 bucks at any fish store! i always used promix with 1 tbsp dolimite lime per gal of soilless mix and that kept the ph in check throught the grow as long as you always feed and water with properly ph'd water and ferts. good luck

Yes you can use distilled white vinegar at the rate of one teaspoon per gallon of water to lower Ph about one point. Use more if you need to lower the water even more but let it set after you mix it for about 3-min each time. You can also use the juice from real lemons too. Baking soda will work to raise the Ph as well.

What I have found is these do work but not for long at all and you play the Ph up and down game all the time. If you can just buy some Ph up and Ph down they work longer and hold the Ph better.

So unless you have a lemon tree in your back yard or some other way to get free lemons you end up spending more money buying them then you would have if you just got some Ph down.

It does work though I can't argue with that FACT!
