One thing us drug users do acquire is the open-mindness about everything. We are all opened minded no matter what race, religion, sex or creed a person is. We are always happy to accept outside ideas, and try many sorts of new things. Therefore we are outgoing, and all around nice people, who just like to meet others and have a good time.

That is something you dont have, and therefore you live the boring life of going around online, to messageboards, and talking about things you probably just learned in your 10th grade summer school classical history class.

Shut your mouth and open your mind.

Hon, I'm not sure if I'd agree with the open-mindedness, out-goingness, or all-around niceness about everything. I'd like to invite you to come explore the politics board. Also the sexuality one, too. And maybe spirituality. Just to get a fully candid view of so-called drug users.

Nice goals to have, though!

Drug users are people too, and many people aren't open-minded.

Funny, a blanket statement about open-mindedness. It's prejudiced about people who have prejudices.

I just finished school actually, I'm going to the LSE in October, and I wouldn't regard History as 'boring'.

Dante, maybe you have drug users confused with drug abusers.
Ever sense I began smoking pot, my outlook on life changed dramatically. I use to be a complete asshole. I'd fight, insult people, and be an all-around prick. But then after pot, my eyes opened. I saw things through a different light. Things like respect and generousity were my new goals. I try as hard as I can to be a nice guy. I'm not saying it has made me a perfect individual, but it surely has changed me for the better.

Someone on these boards has to like chili..

I love chili...

Dante, might I add that I find it interesting that you wish to engage in intellectual discourse with a people whom you despise so much. It's sad that you can't open your mind a little bit. You would definitely learn more that way. There are alot of very intelligent people who use drugs just as there are many stupid people who don't.

I like chili, too. I make some good chili, if I do say so myself.

Hey, there are also some really dumb people who use drugs. I'm afraid there may be enough dumb ones that it threatens to drag the average of us smart ones down, frankly.

My chili > your chili!
I don't have a problem with Dante. He's just speaking his mind, and I respect his opinions.

Yeah...I don't have a problem with him either. If he wants to believe in some 2000 year-old, antiquated philosophy and base his life around it, that's his choice. I guess it is tantamount to most people who believe in some type of organized religion.

He is somebody with a very high level of education, and no life experience. To categorically dismiss drugs, or a scholar like Friedrich Nietzsche, as decadent and anti-intellectual is a sign of immaturity - however old or young the person is chronologically. He'll change his mind, or stagnate. This guy has a self image that is a classic for his type, and it is something that he must untangle for himself.

I used to be a bit like that myself, in some ways, in my youth.

Ever noticed how college kids think they know everything?

No offense, I used to be the same way a few months ago, still kind of am, maybe. I watched a lot of friends of mine go through the same transformation. I guess with higher education comes this short-lived belief about being much smarter than the general populous.

Then you reach a point when you realize that no matter how smart you are, the people controlling you are even smarter, and have phasers.
