View Full Version : Salvia.
Whoa, the headshop near my house just got a shipment of the 25 x. My god. My first time smoking salvia, and this is just through a basic metal shaft into a water bottles. I just took a hit, cleared the bowl, and before i blew out the smoke, it hit me. god, this is soooo powerful.
never underestimate salvia. i probably wont be doing it again, but its a trippp.

Man, all I'll say is welcome. For a different experience, try a little bit sprinkled on top of a bowl of weed. Not only do you feel both, but the salvia gets prolonged and lasts just as long as the weed. It's amazing

I went halves with Ben on a gram of the 20x, and my god was it amazing. I knew what to expect, so I figured I wouldnt have a bad trip.
The first time, I used a normal lighter and took a massive rip out of Bens bong. It was either strawberry or regular flavor, I forget, but it tasted delicious nontheless. I cant remember anything after I exhaled apart from laughing like a maniac for what Ben said was a few minutes. I played with lipstick apparently.
The second time I tried it, I dumped the rest (about .3g) into a pipe and smoked the whole lot in one go, in my bedroom with the lights off. This again was with a normal lighter. I held it in for as long as I could (dont remember exhaling), and all of a sudden this purple/blue mist comes out of the darkness and starts pushing me down onto the bed. It kept pushing me and pushing me, I was literally being forced downwards.
Something I would definately take again, but with a torch lighter and using a bong aswell. The stuff is quite harsh, but easily manageable if you smoke rollups. For someone trying it a first time, Id recommend you using a normal lighter at first because its pretty powerful stuff.

Salvia is bloody incredible. I love that drug. I've smoked it a handful of times, and I always have a blast. There's just something mythical about it that I don't truly know what to expect, and I love that about it.
its sooo powerful thats the perfect way to describe salvia.

I like the way that I think after smoking it... It opens so many pathways, and shit makes a lot more sense...

First smoked Salvia dried leaves whilst travelling in New Zealand a couple of years ago. Smoked them in a little pipe with the lighter flame continuously on the leaves. I smoked the lot and what happened next couldn't be described properly but here goes...
In a split second I "moved" from day2day reality (YIH room) to "outer space". All I saw was the vast emptiness of space, black, with "me" floating in there somewhere. Next I saw what I can only describe as the Dumbbell Nebula (yes I'm a star gazer). An enormous consciousness emanated from this "planetary nebula", a consciousness higher than Buddha's... All "I" could scream was "how can I ever be BIG again?!?!?", meaning how can I ever have an opinion about myself, have an ego. I felt SO small in comparison.
This flash trip lasted only seconds but it was a great lesson in humility.
Later trips where back home, with the 5 or 10x extract from a headshop in my area. I smoked a small pipe load with a homemade pipe (from a local tree). I had read "Divining Ecstasy - The Magical & Mystical Essence of Salvia Divinorum" by Dr. Sean Shayan, so I asked my bf to sit with me. As soon as I took the second take I fell over backward on the bed and watched him take the pipe and put it somewhere safe. I felt great! The room was still the same but I was definitely in another sphere:D Suddenly my view split in 2: there were now 2 rooms, 2 realities. Then my view/reality split into 10, then 100 then a thousand! There were now 1000 views on reality and my bedroom! The amazing thing was that not all of these realities where identical! There were minute differences. The thought arose that 'this is how god sees us', sort of like seeing all the infinite possibilities.
I figured I had this pretty much under control and asked my bf to leave the room as him anxiety about these things started to interfere with the experience : confused: Then... things changed again. I was no longer in the room. The overall feeling was "1980" how do you explain "feeling 1980"??? + there were voices of clowns and circus people laughing and talking in France (as they speak in France; I'm France). This re-occurred in later trips and I figure this is an association with the suppliers of the product being France. Funny though :D
Then followed a hilarious scene from the Belgian TV series "Lava" (with Kamagurka and Herr Seele) going something like "in het heelal is 't alle dagen carnaval" (literaly: in the cosmos, every day is carnival). It was SO true I couldn't stop laughing and nodding my head in agreement. I wanted to share this truth with my bf so I shouted and shouted but he didn't come. Figuring he was mad at me or something the trip soon ended. As it turned out: no words were uttered. I had been yelling but in this day2day reality no words were heard.
Subsequent trips were less and less intense. For me, anticipation, set and setting are key factors in a successful trip.
I can recommend the cited book.
Also: I only pursue natural highs and get there in combination with meditation. This method allows for a peaceful mind before commencing the trip, gives you more control, helps you remember more. It should be understood that simply and purely meditating can take you "higher" than any substance use.
Take care and have fun exploring!

The first time I smoked some out of a normal piece I think it was a 20x extract from our local porn store. I took as big a hit as I could and all of a sudden it was like I blacked out and the next thing I knew I honestly felt like a lego man I couldn't bend my arms or legs. I kept thinking about it as though my arms and legs, pants what have you had been covered in water and frozen. It was winter and we were standind outside in our local Uni. It was different

The first time I smoked Salvia was with the leaves, I didn't know I was doing and I felt a little buzzed.
The second time was with a little bit of 20x in the woods, I just felt really in touch with nature, and I found myself really wanting to listen to "The Battle of Evermore" by Led Zeppelin.
Now, the last time I did it was the best. It was last Friday, I just bought a gram of 15x. It went as follows.
I took the first hit. I held the hit in for about 20 seconds. I could feel the effects right away. My lower lip started spazing out, and my eyes started watering. I could feel heat somewhere in the back of my head, or something like that. I felt a mild buzz coming along, so I took another big hit. I held that one in for 15. I looked at my friend and started to giggle. Something changed when I looked at him. I laughed louder. Then...BAM!! I don't totally remember what happend next. It looked and felt like there was a crack going through the middle of my vision. The top half of the crack was sort of leaning to the right towards this door, and the bottom looked like I was looking through water or something. I could hear my friends voices in the background, it felt like they were coming from some far away place. Everything including my friends voices slowed down. Then I felt like I was sort of being pulled to my friends door(we were on his inside porch thing.) I can't describe what that felt like. It was like something inside of me was being pulled to the door. It kind of felt like my stomach dropped like a rollercoaster would make it do. Then more madness...I don't really remember everything after that. But I do remember that at one point I was hopping on one foot away from the door.
For about thirty minutes after that I felt like everything I was doing made me feel uncomfortable. But then I smoked some master kush which took away any bad hangover feelings I had.
At first I didn't like it, but now that I think about it it was pretty fun. I couldn't fully comprehend what just happend until a good 45 minutes later.

When I tried it the first time, I didn't quite realize how powerful it was going to be...despite warnings...did it during a shower like I did with bud way back then.
I'm sure everyone will understand why I leave the story off there :D

I've done salvia a bunch of times, and I get some intense trips although they are always the same for some reason. Everytime I trip on that stuff I see all existense start to rotate counterclockwise, i get this feeling like "aww man, not again" then existense eventually molds into a figure which represents God i guess, and he always speaks to me in this weird language, but for some reason I know that he is telling me to "come on, come over here, its okay." And as I'm going through this part of the trip I get this feeling that I know the truth and meaning of all existense, and I can totally see it when I'm tripping but as I become sober it becomes incomprehendable and I end up forgetting it. And thats always my motivation for trying it again.

Salvia is some good shit. Me and my partner went to his house to chill and he pulled out his water bong and he asked me to try some new shit called Salvia. Im an expirienced toker but the first drag I took of this shit fucked me up. If you are a first time smoker, please start with 5x.

Usually people who don't know anything about it and its effects result in a bad trip since you are taken by such a suprise.
Do some reading on erowid.com so you are mentally prepared for Salvia's potential.
Enviornment is everything. I am probably one of the few to disagree with using a sitter. A sitter usually results in one or more people laughing at the person who just hit the salvia acting weird, and this leads to anxiety which can result in a bad trip. Just make sure you are extremely relaxed. Toke up a little bit before if you must. I usually take a few bong hits in order to relax myself before smoking the salvia, and usually lay on my bed after exhaling.

silly.. just silly....
The third to last time I smoked salvia a portion of the trip was spent telepathically communicating with a lighter, the smoking utensil, and the salvia itself....

One of the many times i've done 20x I was sitting on a bed and looking out the second floor window onto a lake. I cleared about 1/4 bowl in my bubbler and a few seconds later a completely new vista rushed in around me (like how all the shit flies around people in the matrix) and I was in some kind of factory -these where all open eyed visuals- There where human-like faceless entities loading boxes that where transmitting different kinds of reality, maybe conciousness, or dimensinos, and propping them into their proper places in the ceiling. Everything was orange tinted for some reason. I turned around and saw that I was some kind of liquid entity pouring out of a box. Which I assume is my own reality. And I saw my friend through this box looking at me. The wall of the cube was like liquid so I could go back into it easily. My thought process pretty much stopped on this experience. So all I could do was observe and not think. The one thought I remember having was more of an emotion, I was afraid that things wouldn't go back the way they where before and that I would be stuck in this "nether" region between different dimensions. I guess this was one of my slightly less weird experiences. It's a lot more complicated than the way I describe it but It would take way too long for me to even begin to accurately describe everything that happened.
just another salvia experience.

look at the salvia reports here http://www.deathandhell.com/corpus/trips_index.html its some pretty crazy stuff, really opens your eyes to see past everyday life and into spirituality. I relate with the salvia trip report #1.

damn, i only did 5x and I thought it was crazy. I couldn't imangine anything much more. i'd probably get scared and have a bad trip. The first time was enough though (don't get me wrong, i had a great time), but I won't be joining in on the salvia again.

S-A-L-V-I-A Trip Rating Scale
Level -1 "S stands for SUBTLE effects." A feeling that something is happening, although it is difficulty to say just what. Relaxation and increased sensual appreciation may be noted. This mild level is useful for meditation and may facilitate sexual pleasure.
Level - 2 "A stands for ALTERED perception." Colours and textures are paid attention to. Appreciation of music may be enhanced. Space may appear of greater or lesser depth than is usual. But visions do not occur at this level. Thinking becomes less logical, and more playful; short term memory difficulties are may be noted.
Level - 3 "L stands for LIGHT visionary state." Closed eye visuals (clear imagery with eyes closed: fractal patterns, vine-like and geometric patterns, visions of objects and designs). The imagery is often two dimensional. If open eyed visual effects occur these are usually vague and fleeting. At this level phenomena similar to the hypnagogic phenomena that some people experience at sleep onset occur. At this level visions are experienced as eye candy but are not confused with reality.
Level - 4 "V stands for VIVID visionary state." Complex three dimensional realistic appearing scenes occur. Sometimes voices may be heard. With eyes open contact with consensual reality will not be entirely lost, but when you close your eyes you may forget about consensus reality and enter completely into a dreamlike scene. Shamanistic journeying to other lands, foreign or imaginary; encounters with beings, entities, spirits; or travels to other ages may occur. You may even live the life of another person. At this level you have entered the shamanâ??s world. Or if you prefer you are in dream time. With eyes closed you experience fantasies (dream like happenings, with a story line to them). So long as your eyes are closed you may believe they are really occurring. This differs from the eye candy closed eye imagery, of level 3.
Level - 5 "I stands for IMMATERIAL existence." At this level consciousness remains and some though processes are still lucid, but one becomes completely involved in inner experience and looses all contact with consensual reality. Individuality may be lost; one experiences merging with God/dess, mind, universal consciousness, or bizarre fusions with other objects real or imagined, e.g. merging with a wall may be experienced. At this level it is impossible to function in consensual reality, but unfortunately some people do not remain still but move around in this befuddled state. For this reason a sitter is essential to ensure the safety of someone voyaging to the inner levels. To the person experiencing this, the phenomenon may be terrifying or exceedingly pleasant; but to an outside observer the individual may appear confused or disoriented.
Level 6 - "A stands for AMNESIC effectsâ? At this stage either consciousness is lost; or at least one is unable to later recall what one is experiencing. The individual may fall, or remain immobile or thrash around; somnambulistic behaviour may occur; injuries can be sustained without pain being felt; on awakening the individual will have no recollection of what he/she did, experienced or said in level 6. People cannot ever recall what they experience in this very deep trance state. This is not a sought after level as later nothing can be recalled of the experience.
I've repeated Level 4 over and over, but next time I'm going to try laying on my bed in my dark silent room and close my eyes before the trip hits me and hopefully get level 5. I'm just scared I'll get up from my bed without knowing.
