My medium is r/w and i have been using distilled water to top off and redoing my water and nutes every 7 to 10 days and i cut back a HUGE shadow leaf and damn just under it on the rockwool alone is a patch of DARK green and bluish algea and its not on my plants stalk or anywhere but in that one patch and is about covering the 1 corner of a 4x4 inch r/w cube . Please can someone with exoerienece please contact me and tell what do i do? Should i just let the new light hit it for a couple of days Im using a 125 compaq flo and it is about 8 to 12 inches from my top of my plant whch is about 8 inches tall with many new leaves as i cut back all of the larger leaver covering this area . HELP! the strain is a Mr Nice SHIT and in its end of its 3rd week and under a water farm with only distilled water and 1/3 nutes and is under 24/0 and has plenty of air fresh from a scrubber and a intake and outtake fan that i have kinda attached to the reflector of my 125 compaq flo with a glass cover and the intake fan is just barely blowing on the plant . I just started my 18/6 last nite could that be it? is it tooo late to change ? PLease help!

you need to put some light proof sheeting over the rock wool and the srounding area as light promotes algae to grow.

marijuanamat is right, but the algea is normal in rockwool and will not harm your plants

I read your subject and thought "Take your goddamn baby to the doctor. Why're you asking a cannabis forum for help?"

Then I realized I was a moron.
