Forgive my ignorance, but is "Kia ora", a Kiwi term?
'Cos in the UK, we got Kia Ora soft-drink stuff (it's like a cordial)
And what does it mean? (I mean, I can guess that it is a greeting)

I dunno, it's like, 0700hrs here, 'cos the kids have woken me up (grr@them)

Thanks, Kiwi, I thought as much, but one can never be sure unless one knows for sure lol
After all, the Lone ranger always though that 'Kemo Sabbi' (spelling, I know lol) meant 'my friend'...imagine his dismay when he found out that it really meant 'stoopid pale-face' lmaoo

In Somerset, we have a favoured greeting:
"'Ow be on, young'un, wass bist doin'?"
(How are you, my friend, what have you been up to lately?)

lol, them cassent talk like us, can um?

;) Resinate.....pleased to help you with our strange NZ language, yours is sure a mouth full lol. Kia ora is a maori term and a maori is a NZ native, I am married to one so I have picked up on some of the lingo.

 OMG......AMMIE, I have been missing you my friend, hope that your trip home went ok m8. Lots and lots of love......KIWI xxxxx :D

Cool.

I would like to see NZ (along with alot of other places lol), so maybe when I eventually get there I'll pop 'round to say hi lmaoo...as long as your husband doesn't shout at me and stick his tongue out  lol ;)
(I'm easily intimidated)
But he'd soon stop shouting when he realises that I don't like English rugby either lmfaooo

'Kia Ora', I shall impress my friends
