The attachments below are pictures of an armoire that I want to convert to a grow cabinet. I'm thinking that becuz of the size limitation that a 250w HPS Scrog would be good. The dimensions are 3' 9" high x 3' wide [both sides] x 1' 8" deep.
I'm not looking 4 high yield, just some high quality buds. Would a 250w HPS be too hot for this space?
Any suggestions will be appreciated!!!

should work out just fine as long as its has cooling fans a couple computer fans should do the trick also make ure atleast one fan is up towards the very top heat rises very important to rid of this heat first.

what did you plan on using to reflect light on your walls?

I had an area that size and did have a few issues cooling it, although my plants seemed to do ok with temps around 85 or 86. I had two computer fans blowing out air, that were both rated at 45cfm I believe, but I had the air routed through some pipes into a different sealed compartment to blow out for light concerns. If you aren't worried about the light escape from the fans then venting the room itself with 2 or 3 fans ought to do the trick. If you get a voltage adapter from Radio Shack, or Frys, you can splice all the power cords from the multiple fans on to it and just plug the adapter into the wall. There are also a few computer fans that have variable speed settings on a switch on the cord, which may be useful to you as well. Happy Growing.

you are gonna need more than computer fans to cool a 250hps in that space. i had over 200cfm total exhaust fans to cool a 150hps in a similar size space. i also had a couple 4inch duct fans for intake(1 above the screen and 1 below) computer fans are great for circulation in a small cab grow but the plants will be much happier with more powerful ventillation fans imo.

does any1 think it would be a good idea to grow in a boiler cupboard, cause i live in a fairly cold place and the boiler cupboard is quite warm?
