I just saw my little brother about to smoke some nasty ass dirt shit off ot the streets and so I talked to him and we smoked some nice herb together. It was all going good until he started coughing, like really bad. and then he continued to puke for the next couple of hours. I started smoking when I was older, my brother's like 14 years old. I know kids that smoke all the time at his age. My brother wants to smoke, but he really doesn't want to puke again. Does this go away as he smokes more or is it an age issue? And how many times does he need to smoke to get rid of it? Help me I never had that problem!!

I would just let him smoke the dirt until he can get a bit more used to it. Because it seems like if you just try to stop him from smoking completely, it will make a schism between you both that will just be unpleasant and could possibly hinder smoking between you all after that. So I would just let him smoke the dirt, and allow his tolerance to get sorta high, before you start trying to expose him to the chronic. That way, he will be able to enjoy it without throwing up. Good luck! Good lord I'm so drunk.

my mate smoked n 1/16 for the first time on his own puked everywhere after an hour, i guess it was lack of food in the stomach or too much paper smoked, and now he'll never smoke agen.....

Tell him to take smaller tokes. Big tokes means you intake a lot of air, some of which enters the stomach. The air has no place to go and rummbles to the only place it can be released....back where it came from. Unfortunately it now takes things that are in the stomach along with it. Smaller tokes should solve this problem. With decent cannabis smaller tokes seem like a good idea.

I can say from personal experience that age has very little to do with it. At 14, your brother is old enough where its all about tolerance. I've seen 14 year olds who can smoke a ton of pot and not get sick. As for stopping the coughing and puking, I'd say go buy a gram or two of schwag and let him smoke it. By then, he should be ready for at least a hit or two of chronic :rasta:

the first time i ripped a bong it was chronic and man did i cough, but i was 20 years old. i dunno man, i'm pretty sure there are studies that show that using cannabis before you're fully developed is bad for you. if you're worried about him puking and shit, i would assume you had thought about negative effects from smoking before his brain is fully developed.

thats fucked up. i've never puked but god knows i've coughed hellas. i just make sure i have something to drink to help stop the coughing. As far as the smoke going in his stomach, I suppose that could be a problem. I usually just burp the smoke up a few minutes after my rips. Maybe I'm just lucky...
just dont let him take huge hits and dont force the "toke till you choke" idealogy on him until he's a seasoned smoker and can hold his hits without too much of a problem

Awesome thanks everybody. My little brother is really mature though for his age. He hangs out with guys in their twenties and he's way past his time. Plus, in his defence, he has a goatee. Yeah. He's fourteen, and he has a goatee. So I think that he is kinda developed...plus I really would rather him smoke with me than with the fucking drugrats around here. IT's really me or them, and they lace shit...so yeah smoking is not really escapable at this point. I'll try to get him to take smaller hits and get some shit to drink. Thanks again everybody!

hey dont worry about your bro. i was just like that when i was 14. i started smoking when i was 13 actually. anyway, i felt soo sick the first time i tried it. in fact, i hated it the first couple times. but after that i was like in love with the stuff. and thats good you're looking out for him like that. i agree, its much better he smokes with you than some sketchy people.

nothing to do with an age thing, i know people that have been smoking since 12, he probably puked cuz he's not used to it and it was too harsh for him and he took in more than he could handle. I puked from a knife hit when i was first starting out and my brother gagged when taking a bong hit. Just smoke enough and you'll get adjusted, not saying i condone lil kids smokin though.

Yea thats probaby just an early thing. If he doesn't feel like smoking now, he will again sooner or later and next time just tell him to relax and stop when his throat starts to hurt. Little by little for newbies.

I had a pure weedie 1g joint, nothing terrific and it was shwag, to myself a while back when I first started smoking.
I had smoked half of it and was feel weird and i started to feel like i was gonna be sick and ended up lieing on the garden floor shaking, feeling like shit.
I smoked the other half an hour later felt way better.
I think it is just getting used to smoking.

It's really obvious. People only throw up when they try to suck in the smoke and inhale and something goes wrong in the process like doing it too fast. And that thick mass of smoke gets caught in your throat and you try your best to cough it out. You might cough so bad you end up puking your guts out. Just tell him that it wont happen next time if he takes it easy. Probably more common to happen if the weed tastes like some good fruits or somethin xD.

The only real problem is that he is starting to smoke at such a young age. Personally, I don't think anyone should be smoking that young and allthough its not your doing, you should atleast step in as a responsible brother. I wouldn't be suprised if you're the one influencing him in the first place. I know that I would never smoke with my younger brother (or even smoke in front of him for that matter) until he was older because younger brothers always look up to what the older brothers do, and get under the impression that if you do it, then its allright for them to do it too..
If he doesen't want to smoke again because he is afraid he is going to puke, then I would look at that as a good thing. My advice would be to tell him to wait a few years to smoke again because he is too young.
