Please refrain from making asinine statements like that. Zizou has been the best player in the world for the past 10 years or more. He has carried himself and his team with great class most of those years. Far be it from me if a man like Zidane wants to headbutt some bitch who clearly verbally provolked him. Sure you're just supposed to let that shit go, but he didn't, and now has to live with it. I do know that he still will not be remembered for that infamous butting, but instead of the beautiful football he's played over the years, and all the goals he's scored. There's no question that Zidanne is a legendary footballer. However, when you're in such a position you take on a lot of responsability. You become a role model to so many. He let so many people down yesterday, words are only words. You need to be able to control yourself on the field at all times, I don't remember hearing about Pelé headbutting someone. What Zidanne did was disgraceful and it will always live with him, I am sure of it. If he had kept his composure he could've helped his team to the cup, but no.

Italy won because they are pure class. Letting in 2 goals all world cup, 1 own goal, 1 penalty kick. They're defence was clutch as hell. They're hole team was so deep. the first 8 goals were scored by 8 different players or something like that. Even with the scandel goin on in ITaly and the player who attempted suicide Italy still pulled through. They deserved it more. The better team won.

Well as far as quality players goes, Italy wins that, but the team that played the best yesterday did not win. France played well throughout the whole game, creating chances and going at players. Saying Italy played better than France is a farce.

And lol, no, Italy is not pure class. Please explain how elbowing a player while going up for a header is class. Or how the whole nation is under a microscope now b/c of the Serie A scandal. They played well throughout the Cup, I'll give them that, but I still feel Buffon is overrated, and little goofy at that. Zidane's instance is just one, while Italy seems plagued with these. Please, no class at all. Skill, however, is amazing.

Zidane's career will definitely not be remembered for that red card. Sure it will be a footnote to bring up, but still, the man is a legend. 2 goals in the '98 final against Brazil dominates everything, as well as this year's Cup. I still have the utmost respect for him, despite what happened. No one really knows what went on on the pitch. For all we know, there might have been a few elbows thrown or something leading up to the altercation, but for him to just stop dead in his tracks and turn around, that fucking Iti must have said or done something totally uncalled for. I'm not justifying his actions, but that's part of the game. He did lose his cool, and I'm sure he'll lose months of sleep over it. That's life though, and at least he can knock around his golden ball when he gets lonely.
