Hey guys,

I'm due to start college in September, so i've been 'temping' for a local company. Well there's recently been a reshuffling of the department i'm working in and they've decided to let me go, so as of Monday i'll be out of work. The problem I have is that there are only 7 weeks etween now and when I start college, and before then I need to pay off a few debts and pay a few big bills I have coming in soon.. and i'll have asolutely no way to pay them.

Since i'm gonna be a student i'm still living at home with one of my parents, I pay rent and my own bills and stuff, but from Monday I won't be earning any money and all these bills will come in (phone bill which is gonna be high this month, social security debt, doctors bill, etc) which will make my life hell aswell as put pressure on my mom, who has enough to worry about as it is because of her health problems..

So, fuck, I need some advice.. What am I supposed to do!?!?!?!?!?!?

Well, if you're in the U.S., you should be able to file for unemployment. It varies from state to state...I know in NJ that if a company let you go, you can collect immediately. If the company says you did something to get yourself fired (or you quit), then there is a 6 week penalty.

Depending on what bills you have due, you may be able to ask them for a deferred payment. Basically, you skip a payment and they put it at the end...but that really only works with things like cars and homes. For normal day-to-day bills, the best you can do is explain your situation and ask to setup payment arrangements. If you've been a good customer, most companies will understand and work with you. Good luck.

Are there other temp agencies around you? They usually work pretty quick to find you something...Don't tell them it's only for 7 weeks...they'll put you on the bottom of the list. Just quit the temp agency after u start school. Good luck!

Thanks guys.. Well i've got some good news, I think. One of the HR (Human Resources) people got in touch with me and asked me to go have a meeting with them tomorrow morning at 8am. Even though i'm 'only a temp' they've been told about my situation by somebody I work with (who didn't give their name, or doesn't want me to know) and it looks like they might be willing to keep me on at least until I start school. They didn't say that, but that's what it seems like.. If that's what's happening then a HUGE fuckin weight just got lifted from my shoulders.....

Hope it works out for you. Some companies will take temps and make them permanent so perhaps that is what will happen. Play your cards right and maybe next summer, you can just apply to them directly instead of going through a temp. Good luck with your situation!

heres what you do
find a neighbor with an expensive dog
dognap that animal and keep it safe somewhere far
wait a couple of days for lost dog reward pictures
if not then contact owner somehow and tell em
you got the dog ,trade for cash [hahahaha]

really works [some crackhead shit but still works]

Yeah but the cost of buying dog food and having to clean up dog shit all the time would totally outweigh the profit... but good idea, lol

What an idiotic idea. Who the f would kidnap a dog for the reward money. And what if there isnt any money than you just wasted your time money and energy taking care a their dog for free.

If you want to some good easy money get lifeguard certified and work at shitty unpopular pools! it can be an easy 13 dollars an hour.

Go to every temp agency you can find and toss in a resume. It's what I did and I had work in 2 days. Screw places that ask for cash to hire you. Scamtastic...

Haha, that was the plot of a mildly funny movie with David Spade.

I think it was called "Lost and Found". It was kind of funny though.

As for your problem Ghost, if worst comes to worst, you can always have your parent(s) co-sign on a loan for you, so at least you have some cash, ya know?

Good luck.

in my opinion, you should ask yourself what the meaning of life is and search for God in all the wrong places until one day, you decide to let life take it's course naturally.

abandon the system and move to the moutains.

dude, do the obvious thing and jack the neighbors dog food when you take there dog.

then get it really fucked up on alcohol or some other shit, tie it to a tree, ducktape its mouth closed...
hahaha...i think im gonna do that, i work at the society for the prevention of cruelty to animals and people bring there dogs in there to chill all the time...

GO onto local building sites and check with workers after hours in the pubs to see if they want a cash-in-hand labourer:thumbsup: FASTCASH
