Hey guys, I have been reading these forums for almost a year now, but I have yet to post anything. Up until now I have been perfectly content just reading the questions, stories, and responses of one of the friendliest weed smoking communities out there. These forums have truly made me a much more knowledgeable and compassionate stoner. So before I get into it, thanks to anyone that has ever posted anything worthwhile on these forums (and we all know that in the stoner's mindset, worthwhile has a very loose meaning).

With that out of the way, I'm posting to let you all know about me and my three friends' plans for our Western Weed Tour. We all just graduated high school and are getting ready for college at the end of August. Since we are all moving to different parts of the country within the next month and a half, we decided we needed one last great weed smoking experience. At first our plan was to take full advantage of my empty house (my parents just moved for a year, and left me with the house until I leave for college). This wasn't a bad idea; we could smoke all the weed we ever wanted in a chill environment. However, when we put more thought into it, we all realized that it doesn't really fit our type of smoking lifestyle. We all prefer to be much more active while we smoke. To us, it feels like we are balancing our habit in a more healthy way. So, for the most part, we have abandoned the idea of just smoking around my house and partying (I'm sure my parents would be proud). Our new plan is one that we feel matches our ideal smoking experience; we have decided to go west.

We all live in Houston, Texas and we have all been satisfied with the weed that comes through our part of town (prices are cheap, and the weed will get you high consistently). However, we feel that it's time to broaden our horizons (or at least pack a few bowls of Northern Cali's finest). With that in mind, we have begun planning a road trip that will take us through New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Colorado, and wherever else we might end up. We are all fortunate enough to have parents with enough money to help us out on gas and food. We also have jobs to help us pay for our other expenses. We are bringing along all of our camping and climbing gear (we plan on doing a lot of camping and hiking). We are also bringing some of Houston's weed with us; however we would like to be able to use it as a last resort only. We want to be able to try weed from every state we go to. We are very excited about being able to spend a lot of time in California (especially San Fran). We know that California has pretty much everything that we are after. I was born and raised in Cali, so I will have some family connections when we get out there. However, I can't exactly smoke a bowl with gramps. So, I guess the main reason that I am posting on these forums is to gather any advice from anyone that has done something like this before. We want to try to find some of the best spots for weed and camping/hiking all along the way. If anyone can help us find some high quality weed (especially in San Fran), or if anyone knows of some great camping/hiking/smoking spots anywhere along the way (our schedule is very open at this point).

Thanks in advance. Once again, I had never posted on these forums before, and I was a little sketched out doing it now. However, I know of no other community that would be sympathetic to this trip. This trip is probably one of the last times the four of us will be coming together, so any help or comments that could make the trip any better will be greatly appreciated.

dude, me and my friends planned on almost exactly the same thing. except i dont have like a group of "best friends" im sorta friends with everyone around here and have a few select closer friends. but yea i told a couple of them about roadtripping except we are from new jersey. but the same idea applies, we wanna go west or something and experience new territory. i called mine "the road trip to freedom 2006" but anyway.. i agree with ya, anyone who has any info on the area from jersey to about texas, let me kno. hah. i was almost too high to read your whole post but i had to do it cuz i know where your comming from. our only problem is the expenses.. sucks when ur middle/lower class and unemployed(for the moment) at 19 :( but hey, if anything we'll wing it!
