i have a cool sun reflector which has tempered glass and two 6" duct holes allowing me to vent the bulb. My question is, does anybody know if the tempered glass makes a tight enough seal so that all the stinky air is actually running through my carbon filter and not just through little cracks between the reflector hood and the glass. Is there anything i could use to make sure the glass is sealed to the hood that would not create a permanent seal. thanks for the help.

Use Foil Duct tape.
Not the Duct tape you find around the house.
This stuff acts like sticky tin foil in a way.
Home Depot.
Ask for Foil Duct tape.

yeah use that crap.. regular duct tape works ok too, but to be correct use that tape made for ducting.. seal up the duct holes too..
i've got the same scenario in my room

ya that air smells :P but my carbon scrubber exaust is right near my air cooled hood exaust. so the pure smell overpowers the slightly stinky one.

Hard to get all those darn little leaks.
