i have a plant thats about 2 feet tall it started showing white hairs, so now i know its a female, but the stem looks like its starting to turn brown from the bottom is this normal? the plant is still growing. if someone can please answer my question it would be greatly appriciated.

i have seen plants "shed" their outer layer on the very bottom of the stem under the baby leaves. It will turn brown and sit there until you decide you want to peel it off.... but you dont have to.
