Panama Red was one of the first strains to be actually known by name and has been around as early as the 60's. Came from Vietnam I think. I doubt the original is still flying around. Your dealer is probably just pulling a fancy name out of his ass.

Panamanian is rare, but worth every penny if it's the real deal.

Tell them to also get some Michocan and Acapulco Gold if they can!

I don't know why, but those types, grown outdoors, make you feel happy - something that most Columbians and similar stuff just didn't do as well. Even the super-strong Sativas of today can't beat them for overall quality and "natural" highs.

The Columbian Gold was a true gold color.

The Thai came wrapped to bamboo sticks with asian writings on the sticks and wrapped in hemp thread.

The Afghan hash was stamped with Afghan writings and symbols on it.

At the time I paid $60 for an oz. of Columbian Gold, Panama Red or Thai.

The Afghan hash was $5 for a gram.



It was all readily available at the time before they cracked down on the ports.

I didn't think any real 'panama red' was around anymore. But whatever, as long as it makes you happy. Personally, I'm sitting on ounce of some old regular stuff...not too bad, not a full ounce anymore either. Waiting on a OZ of Carmella from a MOM and a OZ of Silver Haze from a local. Then I think I'm going to pick up another OZ of the ergular stuff I have now so I can try some cooking experiments.
