I was working out the other day how much water my plants are drinking.
In 4 weeks they used 100 litres!
100L / 4 weeks = 25L per week.
25L / 6 plants = 4.16L per plant per week.
Im growing in a tent that isnt very humid, and im not losing any water from leaks. But i guess ill lose some water through evaporation and other methods?

4.16L per week did stun me a little, So does anybody else know what their plants use? Im now quite curious. :stoned:

I read somewhere that 95% of the water that plants drink, theye release back into the air from their leaves (transpitration).

Lots of water is used in the process of converting sunlight and atmospheric carbon to sugar, specifically glucose.

6 H20 + 6 CO2 --->light energy---> C6 H12 06 + 6 O2

There's some intermediate steps, but you can see that to make 1 molecule of sugar, you have to use up 6 molecules of water to get enough hydrogen.

When you have a resin-producing plant, it's even more water because the resins are relatively large hydrocarbon molecules.

So if you think of it, water eventually gets incorporated into THC with the miracle of chemistry!! :D Yay!
