Whats the absolute minimum height you can flower a plant at? Actually, scratch that question. How many nodes must it have before you can flower? Im asking this because my WR (that sadly turned out male) stretched loads during flowering, and as Ive only got a 250w HPS, I cant have them very tall. I dont mind airy nuggets as this is for personal only (well, depending on the yield and quality I might flog a half ounce), but would it stress the plant too much if I flowered it when it was only 8 inches high? Also, what would the approximate yield be? Half ounce per plant, or is it impossible to say?
Cheers for reading guys :)

Well Tom,

You as the grower can begin flowering on day one if you desire. In nature plants begin and end life on roughly a 12/12 cycle and they turn out huge. You can top them multiple times to conserve space. How much of a yeild will you get with a 250 watter I can not tell you since there are factors like genes, pot size, ventalation and fertilzer which can effect your yield. Good luck and keep learning.

I guessed that no-one would be able to give me a guesstimate on the yield. I might just try flowering them from day one, I dont think anyone has actually done this in a growlog so ittl be interesting for everyone to see how they work out. Cheers Loco!

I did it at 9", ended up no more than 15-16" yield, 12-15grams dried, thats pretty close to what you're looking for. :)

i veg to 10" use a 7.7 litre pot end up about 2 foot 60/90 grams per plant

but i do have over 1200 watts of hps

In Sog (Sea of Green), plants are cloned and the cuttings are then allowed about one or two weeks vegetative before they are flowered. The basic rule of thumb is the more roots a plant has, and the thicker the stems are, the better the yield. Starting a plant in 12/12 dosen't allow the plant to establish an adequate root system so it would probaly have negative consequences later on (reduced yield). Post what happens though, seems interesting.

Well I think Ill keep it on 18/6 until its developed its third node, then try topping it and do a little LST. Im VERY pushed for space, so Im gonna try and force the plants into a spiral pattern. Has anyone ever tried this before? In theory it seems like a good idea.
Or I could just stick one outdoors (I know its a bit late) and see what happens.
