AOL wont let this guy cancel his acount?!?!?!!

I personally have cancelled AOL and it was a pain in the ass. First I had to go through a bunch of machine crap, then this guy came on and practically interviewed me, I kept saying, "I dont want to answer any more questions, I just want you to turn off the god damn service and stop charging me!" and he kept saying, "I'm sorry mam but it's my job I HAVE to do this, I know it's bothersome but I cant cancel your service until I finish asking you these questions" I cussed and yelled and finally gave up and went through with like half an hour of questions to get that shit turned off. I dont care how many hours they promise you for free...it's not worth it.

this would be funny except pretty much the same thing happened to me when i tried to cancel aol and i caved in... the guy talked me into getting aol for broadband because it's only $10 a month.... i still never use that shit.

it's not just aol it's every service provider. atleast all the ones i have dealt with. i got pissed when they started it with me and they were like "oh okay" then canceled it. gotta take control of those fools. usually a real pissed off voice and a few choice words like "just cancel the fuckin shit" works, but i have only had to take it that far once.

man, when i cancelled, i was on the phone A LOT longer than that. And they hung up on me twice. They do not listen to "no" or "cancel". complete bullshit.
