Well, I moved from California to Phoenix AZ and lived there for 2 1/2 years. I attended a technicial training school there for 1 1/2 years. I graduated with a degree and moved back home with my old man, my wife and daughter moved back with me as well. Well unfortunetly i forgot how big of an asshole my father is. Always screaming and yelling with hes child like temper tamtrums and im just sick of it.

I worked at Ford as a technician for awhile but didnt make very much money, and i was forced to find another job out of my career field. Well im pretty much Fed up with this family ( long story, and im not talking about my wife and daughter, just my old man and sister and brother ), so i am thinking of joining the military. Im pretty scared but im almost sure i need to do. Its like something inside me has been telling me to join for years. Im trying to get in better shape and i am planning on quiting the herb. I dont mind a challenge in life, but something about Basic training intimidates me. I feel like if i dont make a decisions, i will be stuck living from paycheck to paycheck, with my father screaming down my neck and me trying to catch up on bills. Any words of wisdom or advice?, maybe some encouragement?. LOL ah man... lifes a bitch.

Whatever you do...just do it.

A man that picks the wrong path still gets farther than the man who sits at the fork in the road and does nothing.

start to train as a carpender or a painter or work for the goverment as a mail man or garbage man, get some good money that way, around 40k a year for all of them and plus they don't drug test

the military is not good for families. check the divorce rates and you'll see it's way over the national average. there are other alternatives to that extreme answer for your probs but most definitely you need to move out of your dad's house. i assume you went to an 'itt-type' school and you're certified in something like an electronic tech? you might want to check out las vegas...tech's of all fields are badly needed here and the pay scale is very good, not far off of cal's but a cheaper cost of living...especially in the out-lying counties. if you're into construction for a bit while you get on your feet there are many jobs open right here in my little town about 100 miles outside of vegas (much cooler up here too!) and there is housing and excellent schools a short walk from any part of town. whatever you do, think about it a while longer...the military is about as extreme of a solution as i can think of for just about anyone here!

canmon at yahoo if you'd like more info...

faultydesign, Thanks for the good advice man. This is very true.

Potheed420, Thanks for the opinion. I was intrested in working for the post office. But i cant get any openings for a long time. Also jobs working for the city are real hard to get in my town.

m.g, My wife and i spend alot of time apart as it is because she visits her family every few months in AZ. So in that sense, we are used to spending time apart. My other problem is, even if i wanted to, i would not be able to afford to move anywhere at the moment. So basically im stuck here. And after all the Bills i am left with enough for groceries and essentials, so saving money is kind of outa the question.

Thanks guys. I would still like to hear more opinions.

m.g, Thank you for the info and advice.
