I understand how you feel,......... passionate I'm sure as well as anyone here . It is rediculous to start a thread like a hand grenade, to toss it in and ~ leave~. Theres some good issues going, I now regret what their on.

I enjoy the boards, I am just weary of clicking onto such an...........whatever, Look change your name and come back. If you are not going to play ball. I would prefer that you take your ball and go play in someone else's yard.

Their is an excellent quote: Christians are the lead cause of atheism today, they........ahhh, how does it go?.........I'll have to find it.

Ok, Knowm,.......you ready?

We Love You!

Maybe I'll have to hang around the spirituality board now that I know there are more christians around...And Im pretty sure that quote begins the DC Talk song "what if i stumble" ....though someone else may have said it...one of their few songs I like...

the mistake is u r judging christ by christians , he is perfect the example , christians r just sinners who have been been saved by his blood , i agree there r many false hypocrites who clain to be christains but dont let them ruin your chance of forgiveness

remember all his disciples forsook him , so much for the mankind , the heart of man is desperately wicked an who can know it, but christ forgave them , an gave worthless sinners a chance , so thats y we praise him forever more

xsw2, Someguy, genuinely happy to see you. Hasn't been the best time for me to get on lately. But, am glad your here. Bullettz(spl?) is also coming on, am interested in learning more about all. This has been a great forum. The exhort at the spiritual board access is right on. I have learned respect of everyone, including their view. Unless the idiot has none of his own. If you disagree? rock and roll. But, as you all know. Love and respect should never be murdered by truth (as we see it).
Thanks ~ very much guys ~ look forward to visiting later, this weekend.

Do you all feel partaking in MJ is a sin?

SomeGuy

Nope....not at all..as I stated in another thread a sin is really something that seperates us from God. Unless you have an actualy physical addiction (which dosnt happen with MJ) I cant see it negatively affecting your spiritual connection...but I cant speak for all people so it may be a sin for some, and not for others. who knows?

I can not answer this question, yes or no. You must answer this question, between yourself and the Holy Spirit. Paul explained that sin to one is not sin to another.

Solmelech,
This Question would better be served as it own dedicated thread. Anyone with sensitivities, or a consciousness of God deals with this issue, tremendously ~ The Bible at length, tho few enjoy the freedom that is described for us there.

If you primarily want a Christian view state it as such. Do you want more of a broadcast pole, then don't limit.

I look forward to our visit. This will be very interesting.

this world system has declared war on gods creation , cloning, genetically modified foods , an of course weed , so it must be good for us , if they hate it so much

SomeGuy, sxw2, I notice that both of you have been here longer than myself. Just a note of concern, Lets keep this simple. I question the value or contribution of Christians that do not have either MJ experience or don't still enjoy it. Paul stated very plainly in Corinthians 9 re: .........all things to all men. That it is best to relate where we relate. The ministry friend that knows about my involvement here, herself has a bit of an edgy ministry. She limits herself to genres where she specifically has experience and counsel from God. She know how to encourage a prostitute, I have gone with her to prison ministries. Herself also having been in jail after shooting her husband. Who else knows how to encourage the incarcerated, than one having been there - receiving encouragement from God, and passing on the same. What encouragement is better?

Jesus suffered outside the camp, We are very much outside the camp also. Lets keep it here.

Very good point SomeGuy. A dedicated thread would more appropriately serve. Sin of coarse separates but, this is also why God addressed the same in scripture. Some may have seared consciences, others may be suffering hyper scruples. Both are addressed there as well. Solmelech may want to propose in a new thread. I'll wait.

Have you been involved in the Kairos Program for prisoners? I was in prison for shooting my husband also and was able to attend their program one year..it was beautiful & they really did not judge us again..but I don't believe I would want to ever step one toe inside again to encourage anyone..please don't think I don't care for those inside now but I just would not want to ever even have to view or "smell" the inside..I can encourage right out here.

You become more fascinating the more I catch up with you. I am not trying to minimize though, I can't imagine the inside. I tell ya. The Lords heart is there..... He specifically mentioned visiting the imprisoned. These things enlarge us, don't they. If we had never experienced Hell, Our understanding and fascination with heaven would be much, much less. It frames things, Prioritizes. just a glimpse from the outside.

He will heal this. It does take time. It is hard for us to accept some hard things about ourselves. I do not understand why my own pride is so shamed by stupid things I've done. I would like to be more comfortable with my own history. I am still learning how to release some of my own. The Lord is right there. It is my own pride that wants to be Ok. To be at peace in our own skin.....what a place. A friend reads contemplative material. He has grown considerably here. I'm too busy in some ways for my own good.

Oh, I am not familiar with that outreach. I went with Jackie along with a blues musician. This guys unique. He had a Jesus coffee house in the french quarter.
