How to convince my girl?

My girlfriend is so close minded about weed and shit. She is convinced that it is something that destroys peoples lives.

And she knows that I smoked in the past, but thinks that I stopped now and it really sucks having to smoke behind her back.

I keep on telling her that she wont understand it unless she trys it, and doesn't like the idea of it because its what she has been told to believe.

Anyone know any persuasive arguments for this that would make her realize how much of a good thing weed really is?

That is the wrong way to go about it. I know how you feel man, because my girl was the same exact way till i introduced her finally to a girl named 'Mary' and she got hooked :thumbsup: So, what i did was i told her all the facts of weed, and told her that it was way more safe for you than cigarettes and all that. I also told her that no one has got lung cancer from it and it's way less harmful to you than alcohol. Also, i let her know what it feels like when you get high. Also, i told her that she wouldn't get high her first time smoking (atleast everyone i know hasn't got high the first time smoking weed). After all this she tried it, and she liked it. Now, everytime i got weed, she smokes it with me. Its great!!:thumbsup:

My girlfriend got over it. She was very against me smoking pot, but before we'd go out I'd smoke before we hung out and I'd put in eyedrops. Then she'd never know I was high, and after we hung out I'd tell her and be like see you didn't even know. Blah Blah I told her a lot of the truths about pot and now she doesn't mind at all!

It was horrid when I tried to get her into it the day before my birthday but she went ape shit.
Long story short- she cried, broke up with me, but came to my birthday the next day and we made up.

Either convince her or get a new gf that smokes.
Too many people tell me it's not good to have a gf that hates weed and you have to smoke behind her back.
I tend to disagree being that I don't think you need pot to make life better or whatever, but damn it, love to get high nigga!
Especially since I'm so young and still in the beginning of college.. I gotta experience what it's like to have a gf that smokes up. I can't just marry my current gf.

just tell her to read about it. i was kind of wary about it before i tried it because it was a "drug!" and "illegal!". those were my two biggest deterrents. then i got curious and started reading and realized it wasn't that bad. some people are just closed minded though. my roomate's girlfriend is the same way. good luck man.

tell her to read up and educate herself and actually learn about it, not just listen to what she hears. that's what got me over the "oh its so terrible" stuff. just be educated about it, and then if she still doesn't want to, you gotta just let her be her.

the problem with being a stoner in the US is that American society was invented and transplanted, rather than being an embodiment of strong time-relished traditions and culture. There was an existing racial stigma against such groups, and as a weed that those groups introduced, marijuana was looked upon as somthing that prompted people to create crime and societal ills. The innacuracy in usage came from the fact that many of the pot users were already criminals (probably because of the racial stigma and lack of privilege and opportunity available to them), so people short-sightedly labelled pot as a boogey-man, especially with that "reefer madness" movie. White americans didn't want their kids to become societal scum, so they scared them into believing what america currently believes about pot. so if your girlfriend is a racist, this history will only make her hate pot more. But if she is not a racist, she should know that her and most of america's perception of pot is in place because of racial propagandists in the 30's. thanx

Dont force anyone to smoke cannabis, you want to, go for it. Educate her and tell her you arent letting it take you over (which it can do if you dont moderate). If it isnt actually changing how you act/treat her she wont mind.

My girl was like that, but now she knows I smoke and she knows I take care of my health. I dont put weed before her and its all good.

MY gf used to be like that she would cry and make such a biiiggg deal about it. I would have to smoke behind her back all the time. Then one day for some weird reason she said she wanted to try it. The thing was her and her best friend were talking about it and how they might want to try it. So i just told her it wasnt even bad and the things about it and then she really wanted to try it. Just try to get someone she knows really well to talk to her about it. i smoke a lot now and she doesnt even care anymore and smokes with me all the time. She even told me she cant believe she was so against it and thought how bad it was and stuff.
