is there some trick out there to help mask the smell of my garden. I just need to break it up a little. ive got some mint im gonna plant, but it attracts ants so i cant put it to close to my garden. I was thinkn of putting some dryer sheets out and around my patch to help some. This is a backyard garden.

Usually mint is an ant repellent. I use the essential oil of mint around the door perimeters of my home to keep them from coming in. Maybe the ants you have are crazy :P

But... mint won't be strong enough to mask the smell of much. Usually mint only gives off a scent if you rustle it or put your hands through it so it just sitting there growing won't help you.

I should also warn you... be very careful where you plant your mint. It is EXTREMELY invasive. It wouldn't be the first time that herb has taken over a garden completely.

I wish I could give you more advice than this. This is a main concern of mine, growing outside. It's not like we can set up charcoal filters in the outdoors for this issue. The area that I'll be planting in (in 5 gallon pots) is next to my neighbors house, but they are extremely old and don't get out much. Which is a relief.

Good luck to you :)
