Hey guys. I just checked up on my clones and i noticed some males in the bunch. they are only about 7 weeks old from clone, and had only 4 males in the bunch of 80 or so. My question is, i spotted them while they were young....do they cause a problem due to pollenating?, and do they pollenate the same time as the females flower? I heard that having them mixed in your crop can screw things up ( i kind of figured that). I moved two about 100 ft away from one patch, and have them tucked behind bushes, didnt wanna kill them, will that be a problem?..can they steal pollenate my girls from far?

Any info would help.

Peace!

Just get read of them rate away. Find a way to make them usefull.
Just dont throw them away you can get caught like that. If you wait they can turn the females in to males. Why would you want them anyways?

Yah, I think you should be good. I am still a newb at all of this, but have heard they can pollenate from a 100ft away, and since you planted that far away and you got some high bushes next to it, I think your good.

males will not produce pollen until their sacs are full which happens early in the females' flowering time and continues for 2-3 weeks (assuming they're the same strain of course). growing side x side during veg will not hurt anything other than limit the space your f's have but be aware males need to be gone BEFORE they produce pollen but they give plenty of sign before that happens.

4 males out of 80 is unheard of so expect to find a lot more...

4 out of 80 for clones is actually bad. I would expect to find 0 if the guy who was cloning new his stuff

and just dump the males. moving them a short distance like that won't do any good as pollen can travel the winds for many miles...besides you need to consider you are probably not the only grower in your area so not only will your crop be seeded with who-knows-what but everyone else within miles of you will also most likely get seeded...which will make for a lot of unhappy growers. why keep em anyway? are you making seed and if so why?

can someone tell me why in the hell are all these people giving out misinformation that a male can turn all the females into males??? its like saying me a female human standing by a male human being, the male can turn me into a male by just standing there......

males can pollinate and make the females have seeds... as in if the guy were put his stick into my whoo whoo and bust a nut, i'd get a seed (a baby) possibly

ok, i quoted it and it's still so wrong that i'm surprised to see such nonsense still sitting here!

please...do not pull "facts" from your butt. if you don't know, don't answer! obviously you have never grown before so PLEASE don't advise those who are!
