Howdy! Thought I would drop a line to all y'all on here. Just registered yesterday, long time reader/browser though. I'm in B/CS. Anyway, just wanted to say hello and I look forward to being here...Y'all have a good one!
Gig 'em!

Hey, Rooster, and welcome to the boards! Glad you're here.
Forgive me for not knowing this, but what's B/CS?

Hey Bird...
Bryan/College Station...and I think you meant to say Gig 'em! Haha!

Hey again, Rooster! That's one sharp avatar you have there. I like that.
Well, I reckon if I'd thought about it long enough, I'd have been able to put the gig 'em sentiment together with Bryan/College Station, but I'm too DFW-centered to be able to recognize any other letters!
Glad you're here. Even if you are an Aggie.
I come from a family with several Aggies. Which was why I had to break with tradition and forge my own unique trail to Austin. Actually, both are great places and great universities! Are you like my uncle, the most spirited, passionate Aggie there is, who also knows more Aggie jokes than any other group of people combined?

Howdy! I have a ton of friends living in B/CS going to school, but thanks to the steady supply of great dank in that town, I only lasted 1 semester :) Gig 'em and welcome to the boards

I would be remiss in my duties if I didn't mention Psalm 75:10,
"All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off".

Oh my goodness, Pastor! Was that a biblical jab at THE University of Texas??? That's God's university! With a champion football team!
I think the devil made you do that. . . .

i think so too.. but come on, baylor is god's school.. he even summons the prophet gdub to make visits, erect a library (maybe), and play cowboy nearby.. further, he blessed his school with a slaying of the heathen aggies! (i had to) but, the downside.. good bud, or bud at all, is so hard to find around this place unless you learn to mingle with the unbathed masses of this armpit of tx: waco.
but anyways, welcome txrooster! i'm fairly new around here myself..

Ummm....and He allows a teammate to murder another teammate, then the coach tries to cover it by blaming the murdered young man for being involved in drug deals. Not exactly God's will, in my opinion.
I'll never understand how people think God is interested whatsoever in who wins a game. The winning side always gives credit to God, and people who are rescued from danger do the same. So are we to then determine that God abandoned the loser of a game or allowed an innocent person to die because He doesn't love them as much? Kinda silly and simpleminded isn't it??

Humor Onward, it was just an attempt at humor.:D
After all, God does have a sense of humor. Just look at me for an example....;)

Heh, I'll be going to tstc this august man. And you'd be surprised how plentiful the dank is in that town, but the prices are high cause a lot of Baylor students have money and people rip them off.

Sorry, I was in a real pissy mood earlier. I had a long, frustrating day and shouldn't have posted until AFTER relaxing. I got blasted by a neighbor who is always trying to convert everyone to his church by telling them they are doomed to "hell fire", and was just fed up with it when I posted earlier. I think I may go outside his house in a long black robe and start chanting and spitting fake blood..something to really drive the old goat crazy!!
Have a great night everyone.

Part of the problem Onward was that Birdgirl didn't respond with the typical Longhorn response. She should have said something like, "Finish the verse" which is "but the horns of the righteous will be lifted up". Just some of that harmless school rivalry stuff. ;)

Hehe, you're lucky...it's only a nieghbor. I have family members that do that everytime I visit. First it starts out casual..."So, have you found any nice places to fellowship...". Later, as they see they don't get the replies they seek, it gets nastier, "Well, you know without Christ in your life, you're going to hell and we can't be there with you". Now, would I be wrong to say back, "Well, that's the point"? :D
You should dance around naked in your back yard one night around a fire and saying unintelligble words. Then again, he may think you've been possessed and need his help even more.
Going to try to go to the watermelam fest what time does it start.

I slipped up on my duties as a longhorn . . . . Sorry, guys!
That's so unpleasant, isn't it, Onward, to have a preachy neighbor. Or a preachy relative like Big Cal. If only they knew that proselytizing drives people further in the opposite direction, they wouldn't do that if they really hoped to increase their faith's market share.

Just trying to keep it light Birdgirl. You are very correct regarding the proselytizing very often driving folks away.

So H.M., gonna give us any detail about the new strain or just the tease? ;)
