Thanks yabatab. I read your posting to all new growers. I think your advice is so right on and very well stated! This growing stuff is fun, experimental, and you need to keep expectations under control. This crop is my third go at it and I think I got another winner. Bought the high grade seeds in the big A and grew them hydro. I guess buying quality seeds is the way to go. At first I thought is was bs but....

pretty much any healthy seed should give you a good quality product, if taken care of properly.

males do have balls, and they come in 2's and 3's, almost always you can tell when you look between where the branches and stem meet, almost always at the top first. The Females don't always sprout hairs right away(you will see one or 2), and you will usually see one one little tear drop shaped growth, with a narrow pointed tip..male almost always grow multiple 'balls'. The time is right whenever you decide you want to sex them, but usually it is best after you begin to see alternating nodes, and even better when your branches have secondary growth between where the leaf meets the branch.

I am using the three nutrient solution system that came with my Emily's garden. 2 parts blossom 1 part grow, 1 part ( dark purple color). I am in flowering but you suggested I feed the more. Can I improve on this?:dance: :dance:
