Ph levels/nutes

How do I measure ph levels is it even important, I found a ph testing kit for a pool im pretty sure that would work. Also what about nutes can I make my own. Im on a budget and dont got the cash to buy some.

pH testers, are designed for different substances, so preferably you would want a soil tester for pH. duh? sorry.

Anyway i just baut a 500g thing of 20-20-20 fertilizer at Canadian tire (if u live in Canada, do they have canadian tires in USA?) for like 8 buck Can. that should last you the season, don't waste ur time trying to make something u r already unsure of, just take it easy. God im stoned
