I was wondering after reading over some brief refrences to revegatating plants on how to do this. Are specific chemicals needed? Is it always succesful? Can you clone after reveging a plant? How many times can it be reveged?

Thanks alot for your guys' help.

I way I understand the reveg process: the drawbacks outweigh the gains.

I suppose it'd depend on how often you do it ... if it's an outdoor plant, and you're just harvesting when it naturally buds, and then letting it keep going about it's life, I'd think it's okay.

yea if your growing indoor id just make clones i think id only reveg if i had tons of outdoor space and even then i think id mostly forget about it and if it surivied yeah a litttle more smoke for me and if i didnt well whatever you where revegging anyway it wouldnt have a bud size of the origanl anyway

Revegging is a great way to get a mommy from a plant you didn't get clones from in the beginning. I revegged a plant to get a mom and shes still going strong almost a year later.

As far as re-flowering the plant, I noticed much less of a yield, and no large buds - only a ton of little ones. No main colas or anything bigger than a thumb

Yeah there are several reasons to "re-veg" a plant. First and foremost because it was super weed and you don't have more seeds or clones.

So a great way to save a strain but a lousy method of growing.

hey ! ... congratulations, you're the first one to understand why I'm purposely trying to stress my females into a sex reversal ... I have plenty of finished product, but I need to save this strain, trying to get lotsa seeds for the future (household accident took out my last clones)... so far, no luck, strain is so damned stable !! ... (never thought I'd live to bitch about stable, all-female plants :D ) ... :smokin:

yes its very time consuming and not worth it at all no matter what the strain. The strain would be a much watered done version, and the clones would be the same. It takes about a month for it to stop producing single bladed retarded circle growth. And start growing norml again, well as norml as possible.
