i'd say to wait just to be safe. try cooking it in something if you really CAN'T wait.

prepare some cannabols (pot soup) or some marijuana tea, something easy to eat and still produce the desired effect.

Well I've had 4 out and still have a 5th that is now broken and hurting bad...

Trust me to wait as long as they tell you. or put some gauze over the socket and hold with your teeth to keep the smoke from going over it.

RINSE often with salt water to keep infection down.

After every drink of something not water or food or smoking.

Trust me on this....just like getting your tounge pierced...rinse often and it will heal faster.

Be safe and wait... besides, you have all those pain killers to tide you over

hmm, I would because I bet it hurts like a bitch, and I'm sure they perscribed Vicodin (just from having it done also), so take a vic and then blaze but make sure you have a drink on hand so you can just take a sip before and after every hit

I just got my wisdom teeth out a couple weeks ago and I smoked on the second day. The reason they tell you not to smoke is because the suction of drawing in smoke can pop out one of your blood clots and cause dry socket (suction is also why you can't use straws). So I rolled a loose joint and didn't make a seal with my lips when I smoked it so I drew in smoke and air and reduced the vacuum and I got nice and ripped with no problems at all. If you're careful you can do it BUT you do still increase your chances of getting dry socket which I hear is quite painful. I think you're out of the woods after 5-7 days. It's your call if it's worth the gamble or not. It was for me :smokin:

I got mine pulled a few years back...after I got em pulled around noon, I went back to college to my algebra glass with gaws in my mouth..just kept my mouth shut, then played b-ball from 7pm to 10pm in the gym at my college...then went home and ate...and I didn't even blaze then......getting your wisdom teeth pulled is nothing...dont worry about it, less your WEAK

Vicodin for minor tooth extraction? You people sometimes...

My advice is to wait. You simply cannot smoke 48 hours after the surgery and not expect the problem of dry sockets. You are fooling yourself if you think otherwise.

You can do it but be careful. I smoked the night I got my wisdom teeth taken out...no worries. Just after you're done smoking, rinse well with Cepacol or Listerine.

DONT DO IT I SMOKED A WEEK AFTER GETTING THEM OUT AND I GOT AN INFECTION AND IT WAS THE WORST THING EVER. THEY HAD TO PUNCTURE SOMETHING IN MY MOUTH AND DRAIN NASTY FLUID AND IT HURT MORE THAN ANYTHING SO DONT SMOKE UNTIL LIKE 2 WEEKS. JUST MAKE SOME SPECIAL BROWNIES!

yeah I had 4 wisdom teeth removed and a tooth moved, and the tooth being moved was the minor part...you should have it done, and then you can talk

I also got an infection but it isn't caused by smoking, something gets caught in your gums as they heal and it grows over and then you get smelly and swollen, hurts like a bitch to drain and it smells like death. Happened 15 days after extraction for me. You can smoke if you want and you're careful, simple as that. Just take long low suction tokes and don't form a seal with your lips and there ya go, you won't get an infection from it and you won't get dry socket unless you're an unlikely statistic or you're toking foolishly. And that's the bottom line.

I had my wisdoms out last year - by extraction. (No surgery, just a bit of anesthetic and a pull). I literally left the dentist's office and lit a joint. Of course, I was told not to smoke for at least 24 hours but considering the amount of pain I was in, I thought fuck the dentist.

you will be fine, i had mine removed a few years ago, and i used to smoke cigs. I even asked my dentist " hey can i smoke cigs after ive had the operation " oral surgery, they werent even crowned yet so they cut my gums open ". The doctor told me " well you should smoke cigs in the first place but yeah, no problem. So i did.

I loved getting mine out. i had enough hydrocodone that i never felt any pain and i just ate all kinds of soup and used my refills in 4 days. great medication to just sit and sleep or play video games.
