My first time smoking we did it next to a church and a cop came with 2 drug dogs in the back seat (there was about 12 of us at maybe 11 p.m.)
The drug dogs where going wild
the cop got out and approached us and i approached him calmy and just answered his questions
since it was my first time i wasnt high at all but i cant say the same for the others
I think he just didnt feel like filling out 12 reports of underage smoking and MJ charges before he was off duty so he just let us go

Well considering I've never been pulled over in my 4 years of driving and only talked to a cop like once, no I didn't know that. I wouldn't confess to weed, but to speeding..it seemed like an obvious choice to agree that I am speeding and say sorry. Stupid me eh? The video was made for a reason, to show us our rights that we might not know...maybe you know everything almighty genious, but not everyone does.

Never stated I did. It was a reference to confessing about weed, not speeding. I wasn't trying to be an ass like you are implying.

great vid, watched the whole thing, GREAT to know...
I had no idea police actually played "Gotcha" games, kinda freaks me out... makes me dislike police even more... "I know you're just doing you jobs" yeah, but your job is to try and fuck me over using wordplay?? Lame.
thanks.

Right inferius. It sucks that they act as if we can't refuse a search. Pigs

and thcbongman sorry just havent smoked in a few days and kinda on edge lately. I just saw the part where he confessed to speeding and how that removed our 5th amendment rights before I posted. Assuming you were talking about the same thing is my bad :)

In all fairness to the cops, you were doing something illegal. Him using loopholes against you is like you using loopholes against him, right?

Hate to be the bad guy here, but I think if you just saw the bad side of life day in and day out, and you KNEW the person was doing something illegal, it would start not mattering how you caught them, just so much as you did, and hopefully ruining their day.

I'm not saying I agree, I'm just saying I understand.

someone please answer my question

If the cop smells weed is that probable cause?????

Depending on your location, I would say more often than not, yes.

Now whether they use that as their reason, that may be another story. There's countless other ways they could say gave them reasonable cause after the fact. But to initially get the probably cause, smell would work. Think of it like when a cop pulls over someone for suspected drunk driving. If they smell alcohol coming from the car, that is probably cause. Same with weed.

Actually many people believe that if you don't lie the cop will go easy on you...

You get a lot of legal knowledge after being incarcerated
a few times. Police have to have probable cause to search
your car, if they do not have probable cause and still feel
the need to search your vehicle they are going to call in a
K-9 unit to sniff around you car to see if the dog hits on
anything.
So yes there are loop holes just none big enough to jump
thru.
And by all means never admit anything. Thats a mistake because
as soon as you tell him you have broke the law out come the
hand cuffs dont forget what the police officers job is.

I just had to add this quote......LOL
HST
"Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. Your normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop-heart. Make the bastard chase you. He will follow."
