normally I wouldnt post anything like this here but if I dont get these two pages done by monday I cant take my exams, its not really hard questions I just always forget how to do them.........

If a 6-metre ladder is leaning against a wall, the angle formed by the ladder and the wall is 25 degrees ,how far is the base of the ladder from the wall?
,how far up the wall does the ladder reach?

If someone could show me how to get these answers on my calculator or whatever that'd be great thanks.

k I figured that one out but now im stuck on this one lol

if a plane is flying at an altitude of 10km, you spot the airplane at an angle of 55 degrees to the horizontal...determine the distance the airplane is from you

this is trigonmetry isnt it? do you know soh cah toa?
you solve for x
x is the distance you are from the plane

tan 35 = x/10
or
tan 55 = 10/x

id solve it for you but then i dont have a calculator:smokin:

you dont know how to solve a basic equation. okay
solve the first one tan 35=x/10
punch in your calculater the tan of 35 get the answer and multiply it by 10 and that should be your answer

well I tried using the sine, cosine, and tangent equations or whatever on the airplane question but nothing seems to work on it, Im probably just forgetting to put something in my calculator but I dunno, its this one right here...if a plane is flying at an altitude of 10km, you spot the airplane at an angle of 55 degrees to the horizontal...determine the distance the airplane is from you....the answer is 12.2 km's but I dunno how to get it. if you know how to get the answer that'd be great, Im so bad at this stuff.
