is it true that if you use a fruit (apples and such) as a pipe, when you put the lighter to it , the fumes will kill you i guess heat creates a chemical reaction or something? is it true or no

No, smoking 'fruit' will not kill you. I'd be dead a long time ago b/c on camping strips we used to 'roast' apples over a fire and eat them with a lil sprinkle of salt. Don't forget about all the fools that try smoking bannana skins...they're still kickin.
