What am I doing wrong?

I decided to smoke weed for the first time today. I think I might have done something wrong, because I didn't get high. I used a pipe, and I took a hit and then breathed in again to inhale. I don't think the smoke even got to my lungs, as I just felt it burning my throat. When I smoke cigarettes, I can easily suck the smoke into my lungs, and I feel it in my lungs. I tried to inhale as deep as I can, but for some reason it seemed like the smoke was just stuck in my throat. I was a bit nervous, so that could be why. I did feel lightheaded for a while though.

I couldnt actually smoke a pipe properly the first time I tried. I was smoking it like a cig, and was wondering why I wasnt getting anything out of it.

Unless uve actually sucked a cock (i summe u havent, unless your gay... ) I say try out a joint, since your so used to ciggarettes, you can hit them exactly like cigs... go up from there.

pipes are a bit harsh to begin on. i suggest getting the bowl going with a few quick intakes then inhale slow and steady for about three seconds. then hold for three and exhale. the slower the inhalation the cooler the smoke.

I figured the pipe wasn't working for me, so I tried a joint. I actually may have had a bit too much. I started out feeling lightheaded and a bit confused. Then, I put a cough drop in my mouth, and my mouth went numb. When I moved the cough drop around in my mouth, I felt a trail of numbness following. I then decided to lay down and listen to music, but I realized I left my mp3 player downstairs, and I was too lazy to get it. I decided to burn some CDs, which was fun, but took a while. Then, the amazing part began when I laid in bed. I put the headphones on, and I felt myself sinking into the bed. I felt like I was in one of those memory foam beds, but sunk down like ten feet. The coolest part was that I could actually feel the music coming through the wire from the headphones. I actually felt like I was part of the music. I was able to feel every emotion in every part of the song. I also felt a bizarre feeling, like my face kept changing shape. I closed my eyes and felt as if I was a tree in the forest, and millions of huge trees were blooming around me. I felt the happiest feeling ever, as the trees continued to grow and push me up as the music continued. About an hour and a half later, I went to the kitchen and cleared out about half the refrigerator. After that, I laid in bed and went to sleep. All I have to say is, weed is totally not overrated.

YAY~!! That's cool that you got high. The first time i smoked weed i didn't get high either. It sucked, and my bro and his gf were high cause they did it before. Second time i didn't get high either, but the third time i was stoned as hell! :D So yeah, takes time i guess to break your censors in. Pipes i agree are harsh to start on. They burn your throat badly. I used to have a small bong and that thing would give me good hits and not burn that much. I liked it, but i wasn't in love with it.

I got blitzed the first time I smoked. I'd never smoked cigs so I didn't have anything to confuse it with. So I naturally just inhaled it into my lungs and bam, I was laughing at chocolate frosting thrity minutes later.

my first time, I got so high I yelled "I can't feel my eyeballs" and fell off the bed and passed out for a few minutes, then straight up giggled for half an hour about nothing at all
