I do know someone who does though. She lives in Oregon and gets it for chronic back pain. The requirements depend on the rules where you live. You should google it in your area.

I have a card that is issued by the City of San Francisco Department of Public Health. My card is good for two years, before being renewed, and it cost $25.00. It accesses me to any club from SF to Mendocino, to Monterey.
How did i get it ? A letter from my MD, @ Stanford University.
A card is a fantastic item to have here in the Bay Area. It is very respected and opens up a whole new world to the average joe/connie.

Uhm.. You NEED you're doctor to say you're sick, and write out some thing.. Then you'll show, this thing the doctor wrote, at the thing you're supposed to attend to get the damn license.. And if these people think you deserve it, then they'll aprove you.. If not, well, you'll have to smoke illegally..:)

yes, every state with legalized med use requires a dr's signature. so that means you have to have a legal need for the recommendation AND live in an enlightened state. most people licensed by whatever state jealously guard the state with this and the status of those seeking a card only to avoid conflicts with the government and the anti-med use crowd. too many times one person has ruined a good thing for the masses and we're determined to keep things running by the rules (in nevada at least) to keep this legislation on the books and show the public in general cannabis use can be handled responsibly so there's hope for future legalization regarding recreational use...and fraudulant use only hurts us all. underage use in general hurts the cause and every site allowing them to post clearly show the hazards of teenage use. i don't think anyone can argue that...a legitimate arguement anyway.

Also you need to go to a Doctor who isnt regulated by issuing pharmaceuticals only. Probably the best way would be to find someone within the club and get a refference to that Doctor or a list of ones that might qualify you.

Even though the law says these people can grow it, I would be apprehensive in doing that. Feds have ignored this law in the past. Buying legally is one thing and growing is another.

I am correct when i say ANY club within the perimiter i gave.
Some clubs even furnish you with a MD.

Dai Ma is Chinese , meaning, Great Hemp. Dai = Great ... Ma = Cannabis/ Hemp. It;s two words.

In SF I walked out of the public health building with my card five minutes after i went in the door. However, no note from MD = no card.

The Department of public health wont issue a card without calling your MD first. You bring the note to the health dept. , they call to confirm. No note, no confirmation = no card.
I have NEVER been asked in ANY club for a MD note.

I also have a card. You need to have a physician's statement to be issued a card. I suffer from cronic knee pain due to blowing out my knee (I was a simi pro wakeboarder). My reg dr got me all wacked out on pain pills. It bugs me that alot of people will abuse the laws we are to follow. So if you have a ligit reason to have one thats cool.

Tray7 in cal its up to the county. In my county you can have up to 6 flowering and 6 in veg but no more than 12 total.

I suffer from migraines. Where I live, it's a desert. Right now regular temperatures soar up to 115 degrees. That's normal to us, but when I hang around outside for a while I start to get huge migraines. I am trying to enroll in the medical cannabis program, here in souther california (Palm Springs). Hopefully my doctor will understand my situation. It's nerv wracking to ask for a note, but I have a question for those who have enrolled in the program: How did you approach your doctor about medical marijuana? Did you straight up ask? Or did you describe your situation first and asked? Any help is appreciated. To be honest, everytime I smoke, I won't have migraines for another 2 or 3 days, which of course is wonderful. Amazing how much cannabis can be put into medical use. Funny how our government prohibits this type of research / science. Thanks again all!
