Used to be my favorite movie. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas took its place as such, but still an excellent movie. The thought the ending was something I didnt see coming, but definately shows what the world is like.

It's a great film. Before they showed it in England recently they had a 20 min warning not to let children watch it lol, and this stupid warning thing was presented by some guy with the same last name as me.

All in all, a great film, shame it inspired aload of teenagers to beat a homeless guy to death in the door of a church.

I love that movie and all of Kubrick's films. I remember he has to watch the ultra violent films and then moves back in with his parents and then his old friends beat him up but what happens after that?

I think the ending means he is going to go RIGHT.BACK.to the way he was before. "Oh, yes....I was cured." lol ya know? He was cured, and he was definitely going to use that to his advantage. He didn't like how he was after the treatment, and did you SEE his grin when he realized he was cured?

The only thing I found to be really disturbing in the Orange universe or whatever is that you know how he picks up those two girls in the record store? Well, in the book, it was 2 ten year old girls.....and he didn't pick them up...........he was raping them, very...ummm....vigorously.....

its fucked up....

The movies ending is a little confusing...I guess since he became his old self again that they're saying, you can't pernamently change someone

NO he never changed back...Definitely a Movie for the collection...that was some sik chit'man...they programmed him so that whenever he faced violence or deviate sexual acts; he would be disgusted, sickened, would have to avert his eyes and he could not even stand up as a man, when they got through with him. OH yeah, one of his old gang friends turned cop, while he was gone, and stuffed his face in the bogs when he got back...
How about that 4 foot penis he split that 'ol lady with...some sik chit'man, indeed...peace

Definitely a movie to trip by. But you better bring a BIB...LOL

It's a wonderful movie, and an even more wonderful book. The ending isn't confusing. They reverse his brain-washing procedure, and he plans to return to his life of crime. That's why he says "Oh, I was cured all right..."

In the book there's an extra chapter where he turns good all on his own, though.

the whole movie is about drugs

the milk they drank had drugs in it, that helped the Ultra-Violence, or the violence the system thinks drug users have

he goes into treatment, and then comes out "cured"...but then he realised that he was not cured, he was just changed...and he wanted to be HIM, not what others wanted him to be, so he went back

i love Kubricks films...A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket, Paths to Glory, The Shining (original), et cetera

Kubrick was also working with Spielberg on Artificial Intelligence, but died in the middle of production

i was like is this the same movie? latewood is correct he does get "cured" from his hooligan lifestyle but when he is released all the bad karma he sent out into the world comes back in the form of old cop friend beats the shit out of him, gets lost in the woods while its raining, his parents found a flatmate to replace him that is a respectable individual, and finally he gets his rogering from singing in the rain guy the writer whose wife had been raped and killed, this movie overall was pretty good but theres a lot stuff that is better. for a better kubrick film i suggest space odyessy 2001: hal is a fucking scary robot because that shit is closer to life than you might think

Love it. Love the way they speak (the old-fashioned English) and the sick way one treats another in that (wich is really this) world.

Cant remember the ending in particular.. refresh my memory. (Or is the fact that he cant stand Beethoven anymore and jumps out the window the ending ?!? In that case.. not really confusing imo.)

Yeah, I'm sure that Kubrick had it banned (at the least just here in the UK) after a few copy cat murders but i wasn't any where near born when Clocky came out so I could just be chatting shit, which does happen quite a bit

I saw the movie yesterday. Great movie. What a freak was he. But terrible how he was treated afterwards. Weird as well when he got the raping vision at the end. Like he was cured from the treatment.

"There was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie, and Dim, and we sat in the Korova Milkbar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening. The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence."

Loved it, brilliant film, this 2001 and the Shining are some of my all time favorites.
