This guy I've known forever and smoke with alot called me last week and told me his dad found his pipe. Then I called him the other day and he said he quit. I was like okay. Then he went into this story about how his dad found two roaches, anyway when I asked him why he said, 'cause its not worth it". I said, " not worth getting caught?" He said," No that has nothing to do with it, I just don't won't anybody thinking bad of me". I said, "who cares what everyone else thinks". He said, "I do."
I know this doesnt have a point I just hate people that try to impress other people all the time. You are never going to impress everybody anyway. I mean I don't care if he wants to quit but not for that reason. Why quit something you love just to impress people. If they judge you cause you smoke weed they are assholes anyway. I think you should live the way you want to not the way everyone else wants you to. Does anyone else agree.
-Peace.

Yes, I agree. Just because someone has an uninformed opinion doesn't mean you have to bend over backwards to meet their, likely, stupid expectations. Who cares what people think? Most of them are morons anyways and the others would sooner stab you in the back to get ahead than look at you. I say, VALUE the OPINIONS of those you RESPECT. I respect my father but he doesn't dig weed and that's ok, it's still his opinion to have and while I value it, I don't agree with it so I toke on. Ya that shit does kind of bug me.. but it's your buddys life and if that's the way he wants to live it then that's his choice. He'd be less restricted in life if he stopped hanging off peoples opinions of him though.

give him two weeks and he'll be smoking again. everyone here has probably "quit" once or twice but it's just so damn easy to make a boring day fun with a few blunts

It's sad when this kind of atrocity happens. All we can do is move on, smoke weed and get high. :stoned:

so if somebody quits they're a horible backstabbing atrocity? are you sure that's the mentality you want to give off? maybe he has family members that he looks up to and he doesn't want to let them down, i had an uncle that was reallly against smoking and i looked up to him, so i hid my smoking at all costs (cigs i mean)...

If someone quits for their own reasons then all the power to them. However, when someone quits because they want to impress someone else or not appear 'bad' then I feel this is wrong. People should quit because they want to. Sure it's not an atocity but when you lose a bond as special as a smoking buddy it's not nice.

I don't care what he does man I haven't tried to talk him out of it or anything. If he Quits thats his choice I just think that is a dumb reason. That story was just an example I was just trying to get a point across. That you shouldn't do anything just to impress someone or to make them like you. You live the way you want to live regardless of what other people think.

Yeah, I doubt he'll actually quit. And sometimes when people are talking about it and I have a feeling my dad is listening I'll be like "I don't do that stuff.."

To each their own. If my friend decided to quit, I'd try to talk them out of it, but ultimatly, it's their decision, and I respect that.
