Any clue as to what this is? Why are the edges doing that?

That happend to me too but in my case it was small pots, after transplanting i trimed the edges and everything was ok. But im a new grower and maybe in your case is something else in question, could be overnuting/watering but Im sure you'll find your answer, there are alot of good and smart people willing to help around here, just put more info.
By the way your plant looks nice.
Good job
Cheers

Looks like a nute burn or over-fert problem. I'm not an expert so I couldn't tell you which one, but I'd check the EC. Where are they?

hairboy you can flower them right away or wait a month or more. it all depends on the grow space you have, btw, there is no need to "hijack" this thread when you already started one with the same question. the clone will at least double in size from the time you sart 12/12 till harvest. so if you start 12/12 when the plant is 12inches it will be at least 24inches when it finishes
hump, it looks like you burned them a bit, just back off a little on the ferts and they should be fine, burnt tips won't go away, but no more should appear. i saw the same thing with my dwc grow one time after i was away for a few days and the res. evaporated alot so the ppm's were way to high. i changed the water/nutes in the res. and everything was fine. good luck
Looks like over-fert, great time for a transplant, just check your new growth for the symptoms and only keep an eye on the middle sets of leaves for more damage (the damage that is there shouldn't get worse, dont cut anymore off till it's crunchy), if it doesn't stop, wait a few days (or next watering)and flush it with water. Within a week it'll look lovely again

Looks like over fert to me too.
You can put a clone into flower right away if you don't want it to yield much.

hairboy if the pics are too big this is what u need to do to upload :
open the picture in paint, then select all ( ctrl -a ), then cut ( ctrl - x )...
now open photoshop and do new ( ctrl - n ), set the size and dimensions, then do a paste ( ctrl v )...
save, and then post the saved....
hey by the way i had the exact same issues w/ my plants, and i got the heat controlled in there, and got them w/ some ph down and good nutes, and they have BLOWN up...
started LST on the middle on in the bottom, that's the red and white shoe string holding her down..:D
PEACE!

looks liek nute burn i mean if it was a light problem then the whole plant not just the edges really would have a browing/wilting effect at times

You have nutrient lock up which will only get worse if you keep adding fertiliser, do a heavy watering and I bet that the water that comes out the holes in the bottom is piss yellow. Either flush or water with only water for a day days.
