Well everything is finally finished well almost. The cabinet is all finished and up and running. We built it 4' wide x 4' tall and 2' deep. It's lined with reflectix from Lowe's which seems to be working great and it's half as much as Mylar. I have a squirrel cage fan off of an air hockey table moving my exhaust out with a carbon filter and 4" passive intakes witha carbon filter over both of them. Right now there 4 26 watt cfls in there. Temps are holding nicely between 75-78 F with 57-61% humidity. Originaly I was planning on using a 150 watt HPS security light from Lowe's but after consulting with members here I decided to order a 400 watt HPS instead. I'm sure that'll make me and my plants much happier plus it really wasn't all that much more got the light for $140 shipped off of ebay. So as soon as that get's here I'll be all finished. I'd like to thank everyone who's taken the time to answer my questions and the people who I'm sure will continue to help me as I fine tune and learn more about cultivating this wonderful plant. With out further delay here are the pics! Happy smokin!:stoned:

And some pics of my plant she's from bagseed but very good shit. It was super skunky stuff and now this plant is turning out the same way she starting to smell pretty skunky especially if you rub the leaves a little. She's about 4 weeks into veg I'd guess and she's real short and bushy since she got burned and seems to have topped herself. She has alternating nodes now so when the 440 get's here I think I'm gonna veg her a couple days under that then switch to 12/12 for flowering. The pics will go from the last couple days you can she how much she love's her new home. She's been grown with nothing but cfl so far.

just an update with new pics as of 2 days ago. 400watt hps should be here today or tomorrow, and I went shopping at the hydro store last night and got some fox farms big bloom, tiger bloom, and ocean forest soil. Can anyone recommend a good mixture for those 2?

Mnoutdoorz

the foot rest is outta there the pots are in plants stands now.

your larger one is looking great. what do you plan on doing with the other two when it comes time to flower?

Weed4Life

Thats gonna be a problem for me too. I dont have an extra room anymore. I was thinking about topping myne so the others can catch up.

Mnoutdoorz
06-28-2006, 03:39 PM
Well my hps should be here tomorrow so I'm gonna give everything a couple days to get use to the extra lumens and flower before the end of the week. This is my first grow and all these plants are from bag seed so I'm going to play around with them. I think I'm just going to throw all of them into 12/12 and see how the young ones react. Everything got topped off last night with fox farms ocean forest soil and nutes will start as soon as i figure out a good safe mixture with the tiger bloom and big bllom. I have some new better pics. Can anyone tell me if my plant is presexing as a female or if that's just new growth?

Weed4Life
06-30-2006, 07:49 PM
I cant tell, but you will find out within 2 weeks or so what sex they are. My last two plants(rip) looked pertty with 2 colas and they both were male and also were from bagseed. Lets hope that outta 5 I have now I get atleast 2 females.

New update All 3 plants have been under 12/12 for 3 days now. I've installed the 400watt hps and had my temps jump up to 90. So I went to the local hydro shop and got a 265cfm Dayton for $99. It's helped bring the temps down to 84-86 F. I'll get a vented hood probably after this grow. Also started nutes 1/2 strength fox farm big bloom and tiger bloom. The middle plant age wise is definetly an indica. it's small leaves are wider than the oldest leaves on my 8 week sativa. So here's some pics can anyone tell sex yet?

For the Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom, what I do is put half a cap of Tiger per half-gallon of water, and I use that every time. I used Big Bloom last grow, and used like a full cap per half gallon of water. However, I found that you go through the Big Bloom a whole lot faster than you go through the Tiger Bloom. As a consequence, I ran out of Big Bloom.

For my current grow, I decided to just go with the Tiger Bloom and skip the Big Bloom entirely (seeing as I was out of it anyway) and see what happens. And I am pleased to report that I can't tell a lick of difference without using the Big Bloom, so unless something changes, I doubt I will use it again.

As for the Ocean Forest soil, good call there; I love that stuff, and doubt I will ever use anything else. I mix it with perlite and vermiculite: 2/3 Ocean Forest, 1/6 vermiculite, 1/6 perlite, and the plants freaking love it.

The attached pictures are a couple shots of my plants, that have received no Big Bloom this time, and a pic of my flowering cabinet and how it's set up. As you can see, the plants are incredibly healthy. If you've already got Big Bloom, obviously, use it up. But I'd consider skipping it when you run out, because Tiger Bloom + Ocean Forest soil seems most excellent to me.

Well I'm pretty sure my big beautiful stinky sativa is 100% male which sucks. I'm not even sure if I want to keep it alive just for pollen. but the other 2 plants are looking good one's definetly indica and I think the other might be a sativa. pics soon.

Update!!! Well my middle aged plant showed sex last night as a female. I'm 95% sure of this. I remember thinking my old plant was female and then balls came up everywhere. Well last night in only a couple of spots I noticed 2 white hairs coming up by the stalk. I had the biggest smile on my face. I've since removed the male from the cabinet he might go outside to finish his days off. My other young plant looks to be an indica as well so here's hoping for two fat little girls!!

07-12-2006, 03:41 PM
You can compare the leaves in these pics the middle plant has 2 week old leaves that dwarf my 9 week sativa.

07-14-2006, 04:04 PM
Wow it just keeps getting bigger every time I look at it. Three days now since i noticed the first pistils and they're every where now. Here's some more shitty pictures from my cell. The big one has been on 12/12 since it was 3 weeks old and the little one has been on 12/12 since it was 1 week old. It's keeping the plants short and stocky I like it.

07-20-2006, 08:31 PM
An update with some more pics. Holy shit this thing is growing fast and there arenow budsites every where it seems like every possible node has hairs coming out of it. About 9-10 days since the first hairs popped out.

Pics of the plants and an unbelievably big crunch bar. It weighs 10 pounds.

Thanks alot pastor!! A buddy of mine got that for Christmas. They have them on candywarehouse.com for 70 bucks!! It measures 18"x10"x2"! Some day I'll make a block of hash that big...someday...

Mnoutdoorz

Yeah I'll get some quality ones tonight for ya pastor. They both look so good and have both grown over a foot vertically in the last 2 weeks. pics tomorrow!!

07-27-2006, 07:00 PM
Well as promised here are some nice pics of my 2 girls. The bigger one is about 6 weeks old and 2 weeks into flowering, and the little one is 5 weeks old and 2 weeks into flowering. they've both been on 12/12 for about a month and are really loving the nutrients I'm giving them. Last night I noticed that my bigget one is finally starting to get triched up so in about a week I'd imagine most of the buds will be all full of crystals. I gotta feeling my big one is going to be a big yeilder!!! let me know what you think!

I'm running 400 watts of hps and about 45 watts of cfls. The temps hover at 87 right now. Not great but not horrible either. I have a dayton 265 for exhaust plus two fans moving air around and into the dayton. I'm going to finish these two out and buy either a coleman cabinet from lowe's or a c-13 and a vented hood to get everything just right temp wise and give myself some more vertical room. 4 feet just isn't enough if you want to grow without training etc. Thanks for the kind words 6 more weeks to go!

awsome man... best of luck to you and your babies!

pastor420
07-28-2006, 07:47 PM
Those are beautiful Mn! Keep up whatever your doing, because it sure seems to work.

Regarding the heat do you think it's an issue of needing a bigger fan? Or maybe a separate one for the hood/cool tube?

Can't waint to see these ladies in a month.

Mnoutdoorz
07-28-2006, 11:58 PM
Thanks again notorious and pastor! About the heat I'm thinking it could be solved completely with a vented hood going into my dayton. Right now it's just a bat wing reflector. I mean its a 265c.f.m fan in a 32c.f. area so it should be alright. if I put an active intake on that might help as well but for now I'm just going to leave this cabinet until these babies are done. then I'll be moving to a taller cabinet with a vented hood. I'll take some more pics over the weekend.

Well here are my plants as of last night. They're both lookin pretty good and still growing strong. The stretch seems to have finally slowed down and now the plants seem to be concentrating on building up bud mass and trichs. First both plants and the big one.

Mnoutdoorz
08-01-2006, 05:04 PM
A few more of the big one.

Mnoutdoorz
08-01-2006, 05:09 PM
And some of the little one. This one is growing buds different. It's buds seem to be smaller but growing much fatter and denser. Should be interesting to keep watching the differences in the next 5 weeks. Let me knwo what everyone thinks. Oh yeah my plants are almost through their 3rd week of dlower going on the 4th in the next fews days.

Just a little update everything is still rolling along smoothly. I some seeds in the mail yesterday. Papaya and Master Kush from Nirvana, Neveille's haze from female seeds, and my freebie was Stonehedge from Sagarmatha, a sativa that got second in the '98 CC and are normally $85 a pack. Nice freebie!!! Here are some pics about 3 weeks left.

I dont think the male you had was a sativa. Its pretty rare to find pure 100%sativa seeds in midgrade marijuana any ways heres a picture to help tell the difference

08-19-2006, 09:10 PM
Hey everyone thanks for the kind words. They're both lookin real nice the trichomes are getting pretty cloudy now on both plants so i'm flushing right now and when the trichs are about 80%cloudy/20% amber i'm going to give them 48 hours of darkness and then the chop. I took a little something off of each plant and it's drying right now. The trichs on the stuff i took are probably about 70% cloudy and 30% clear so it'll be some headies. Gonna dry for a week and cure for a week and by that time the rest should be up and drying. pics will come soon!

08-23-2006, 05:35 PM
Those look nice, and with good timing for you because its turning into a drought where i'm at.

Mnoutdoorz
08-24-2006, 03:43 PM
Update the trichs are all cludy now but have been for about 2 days. i haven't seen any amber ones yet but hopefully they come out in the next few days. These pics are from about 4-5 days ago.

Mnoutdoorz
08-24-2006, 03:50 PM
And these are from last night. I gave the little plant a trim and the big one is just plain dieing I think. probably root bound. But they're almost done so no worries. Yeah Wake I've been in a drought for the last 2 months it's been hard to find decent nug on a regular basis if at all. Hopefully these finish soon so I can start my next grow Neville's Haze and Master Kush.

delta9thc06
08-25-2006, 05:33 AM
Those are looking beautiful!

Wake
08-25-2006, 08:29 AM
Exactly how tall are these plants? I might have skipped over you saying so.

Mnoutdoorz
08-25-2006, 03:29 PM
The big one not including the pot is probably around 3' but it's tied down a little and the little one is more around 2' or a little less. The little one coulda been bigger but she spent basically her whole life at 12/12. But she's dense as fuck. Checked again yesterday and the trichs were still just all cloudy. I'm going to stop giving them water now and hopefully that'll encourage them to turn amber for me.

Yep the plants are sitting in darkness now and will be until sunday. Then it's time for the chop! Hey pastor! Next run will be female seeds Neville's haze hybrid which is neville's x Jack herer. And nirvana's master kush. Will have pics after the chop!

Me and Mnoutdoorz were on pretty much the same schedule; I was a day later. Here's a pic or three of the results of my long day. My wrists ache like a sumbitch now, that was some exhausting work. ;)

Hope Mnoutdoorz had a good day Sunday too!

Damn nice jamstigator what strain you got there? well plants have been chopped and are drying right now. first up the big guy.

Mnoutdoorz

Some bud shots of the big one. It was a real pain to manicure real fluffy buds.

Mnoutdoorz
08-29-2006, 05:37 PM
The little guy. This thing went crazy during it's last couple weeks of life and really packed on some weight. It's really dense and has a real nice skunky smell to it. very nice for bagseed.

Mnoutdoorz
08-29-2006, 05:42 PM
And some bud shots of the goodies. i can't wait to smoke this stuff after a nice long month cure.

jamstigator
08-29-2006, 06:02 PM
Looks very nice, man! And I bet it tastes great, stuff you nurture yourself from seeds always tastes better! ;)

Oh, and my batch was two strains, AK-48 and White Rhino. There were two WR plants (one on each side), and one AK-48 plant (in the middle). Since the AK-48 was closest to the HPS light, it looked like I got roughly equal amounts of each strain. Won't know for sure until it's dry though, and I could be wrong about that, as the WR buds tend to be heavier/denser than the AK-48 buds for whatever reason.

When I smoke my first bowl from this batch, I'll think of you, Mnoutdoorz. ;)

Mnoutdoorz
08-29-2006, 06:11 PM
Thanks alot again jamstigator!!! You'll have to let me know how those two smoke. I'm sure they're fantastic!! When I fire up the first bowl of the cured gooey goodness it'll be for you and pastor!! Next week i'll post some dried shots and in about 3 weeks the next grow will begin in a new cabinet with some killer genetics.:stoned: :stoned: :D
