Oh man. Let me guess, that's a 60w incandescent light? Get rid of it. Put it in some other part of your house. Whatever. Just don't bother using it to grow. The lumens is low and the heat is high... you are going to starve the plants for light and then fry them to a crisp. You at least want to go to flourescents for your seedlings. You can keep the plants very close to the light source without burning them.
Give your plants plenty of quality light, good soil, quality fertilizer when they are old enough, and plenty of fresh air.
Give yourself plenty of patience and you will be rewarded.
Give yourself a couple grows to make mistakes. Practice on bagseed.
Go into the FAQs, read some old posts, see what other growers are doing. Spend a couple hours browsing the boards here and at other forums like marihemp and I promise you will be WAY better off.
BTW are you in Salem MA?

good advice dude thats pretty much said it all
and do some reading on what people think to using miracle grow products
keeping water in the pot is a bad idea you need drainage get a bag of perlite and mix it in with some bog standard potting soil like 25% perlite and 75% soil
cheers all :)

Hey for your first grow i would reccomend that you stay away from nutes until your plants are about 3 inches tall. Nutrients/Fertilizers are one of the easiest ways to screw up your plants the first time you grow.
Also i am from MA so i thought it was interesting when it was brought up.

If you plan on fertilizing with cow shit or adding it to your soil mix, make sure it is COMPOSTED cow manure or you'll burn the plants.
Hawk, what end of MA are you in? I'm on the 1-91 corridor out west. Nice to see another happy masshole kickin' around the boards.

hey man, i use MG potting mix and from what ive read on these boards, my plant is maturing much faster than most. I'm only on day 14 and i have 3-day-old secondaries. =D
I used MG potting mix from day one and since then, the only thing i feed my baby is lukewarm purified publix water every 2 days.
Nothing wrong with miracle grow imo...
