If i kept plants in smaller pots would they become rootbound and die, or would they stay small and still flower (btw they are outdoors in 8" pots)

mj does not like being rootbound, when a plant becomes rootbound it can no longer feed correctly and a nutrient(or multiple nutes) will become unavailable, and it will die

yo pimp

an 8 inch pot indoors would be OK... you would keep your plant small.. and WATER it PROPERLY and it would produce 1-3 ounces with proper lighting..and care

BUT outside.. you are really limiting your potential using an 8 inch pot.. You can do it.. BUT... you can literally increase your yield by 5-10 times by using a 5+ gallon pot... even a 3 gallon pot out side is very limiting...

The larger the roots.. the larger the plant... remember you are using the worlds greatest LIGHTing KIT...

it would be very reasonable to harvest 1lb from an outdoor plant.. but if it is in a 8 inch pot, you will be lucky to get 1 ounce..

ya feel me?

and NOW you KNOWM

im transplanting tomorow because i saw the roots trying to get out under one of the pots and figure might as well do it for all of them

good idea..

FYI-
it does not mean a plant needs to be transplanted just because roots are coming out the bottom...

They will die.
I'd put money on it.

i agree with knowm, i use 8 in inside and have no issues.find a 5 gal bucket,
drill some holes in the bottem,2in sand or small rocks in the bottom.
enjoy
