so the thought just came to my mind and i had to share it...
as a kid growing up smoking weed almost daily, you never really get to smoke as much as you want to, untill your just gone, because of fear of getting caught by parents (except those perfectly set up and fun times we all get every now and then), but i was wondering, is it wasting tolerance?
imagine never smoking untill your able to do so freely in your own home, your tolerance would be extremely high and you could get blitzed any time you wanted!
ha, just some thought

also, does any1 know any good methods of lowering tolerance?
how long would you have to take a break to hit rock bottom?
does exerscise and nutrition help?
how often could u smoke without raising tolerance?

thank you- Capt. Hanks:)

I think it depends on the length of time you have been toking. A week of not smoking recently didn't lower my tolerance a huge amount.

Good question I think everyone would want to know the answer to. If your a true burner, maybe more like a month would benefit you. Tolerance usually doesnt change in a week. Exercise before you smoke, maybe workout at the gym, tennis, running, what have you. Then burn and without question you will be more elevated as opposed to not exercising and releasing endorphins naturally. Anyone ever notice after a workout or physical activity you feel smarter, your vocab is more readily available, etc? After tennis, my homeboys and I always smoke spliffs or J's right on the court, and I always feel peaked high afterwards. Hope that helps, cheerio!

i couldnt tell ya cuzz--see i was blessed with low tolerance--i burn like 5 times a day and i can still get bit off like half a gar. . . . .but if u pop sum 500 milligram (Read: FLUSH FREE) niacins for a week and dont burn u'll feel like its ur first time again when u do

Best way is to just take a break. And no, I don't think you're wasting tolerance because if you put bud down for a month or two you'll be blazed off less than before you put it down. So no worries man, just take a break when you want that tolerance lowered. Experiment with it.

i disagree.........i took a three year break, first doobie had me all blistered, but was back to the same old hum-drum buzz after that. i think a lot of tolerance has to do with your mind getting used to the reaction, knowing what to expect. nowadays i don't smoke, but i'm not saying i never will again. damn hair follicle testing!

LOL, I actually moved out of my father's house just so I could blaze daily, he is an ex-FBI agent so there would really be no point in trying to convince him of pot's benefits, nobody in my family knows I smoke, and they are all pretty proud of me where I am right now, but I wouldn't quit for anyone, I'm an adult and I can do whatever I wish. When I lived with my mother, I would usually smoke on the weekends and she had no idea. If I could convince anyone that the "facts" the public has on pot are lies, it would be my mother, she's pretty cool. For me, if I go one day without blazing or three days, I seem to get just as high on the same amount of herb, but I really haven't gone longer than three days in a long time.

Tolerance must be LOW to get extremely high. If tolerance is HIGH then you won't get blitzed.

Tolerance drops if you stop consuming weed for a while, but once it reaches zero then its zero. There are no negatives in tolerance. You cannot build a THC-deficit in your system, as THC is not addictive.

I see your point but what I'm saying is that whether you were 18 or 80 your first time would be your first time - the time you wait to smoke for the first time would be wasted if you wanted to lower your tolerance.

If you are a smoker and you smoke for the first time after, say 10 years, it would be like your first time, but not better.

here's my experience: I smoked 3-4 times a week throughout my last two years of high school and first year of college. then I joined the air force for 6 years and didn't touch any weed at all the entire time. To be honest, after taking that long off from it, and coming back I know without a doubt that I never got that high before. To this day, I can take one small hit and be blazed for 4-5 hours! I had a friend drop off a couple medium sized nugs one night because I told him i wanted some, and two weeks later he called and asked if i was ready for any more, and i was like, "dude, i'm still working on what you gave me!" He was amazed. So ya, taking time off and exercising definitely does have an effect, although I don't think you need to wait 6 years. ;-)

Cool deal, there isn't anything better than the feeling you get when you buy some great herb, start toking on it, and by the end of the night you realize you haven't had many bowls and you are stoned as all hell, then you realize you still have enough to last you weeks. Good times!

ya, my buddies who have been nonstop smoking get PISSED because I am clearly higher than they are after one hit than they get from 4-5 bowls. The first time I smoked, I had this hallucination that my head had a ball inside it that was rolling around in a circle really fast like those crazy motorcyle drivers in that sphere. Very strange, also had CEV from a few hits that night, which i never even got close to with weed when I smoked it before. Also, when I'm high it's the only time that I can smell things, and BOY can i smell them!
