Why do people grind weed?

Hi people i just wondered why people actually bother grinding weed?

For me its part of the spiritual ritual. I love to do things myself to enhance my smoking, so everytime i smoke i make a gravity bong or a parachute, and then i grind the weed in my molcajete (its a small one, not the big ass black stone folklorical molcajetes). Cleaning the weed while listening to some hipnotic tunes always gives me a calm feeling that enhances the joy of pot. Also it burns better if grinded.

i used a grinder for a while until i realised all my hard grown thc glands were inside the grinder and not my brain, so i chucked it in the bin.

i now use a pair of good quality scissors to cut up my green.

Just wondering.. but if u was to smoke it out a bong do u still grind it?

i call my boy "da grinder" cuz everytime we blaze he uses his hands to grind the bud, and he does it really good, gets some stuck under his fingernails though, i think its better when u grind even when u use a bong, wen i grind i like to keep the stems till i get a lot of stems, then make tea out of them.
