It's going in a 5 1/2' x 3' x 2' cabinet with cfls. Maybe next grow I'll add a second but how will this light do for me? Also what would I need to get to get it to run off of a standard grounded plug in. I'm no electrician but I am mechanically inclined so if some one can show me an easy way to do it and tell me exactly what I need I'd be very greatful. I'd like to leave it in it's housing for now since i only have one plant and maybe a second shortly so I'm not looking to put it in a new reflector anytime soon. Just keeping things simple for learing. Thanks in advance for any input!

No, the minimum wattage you'd want to use is 250...thats only 150. Dont buy it.

That would work for a smaller space. I've used 150's in small cabinets before without any problems. But look at www.e-conolight.com and just buy the raw ballast and bulb and you'll save a bit of money (if you can do simple electrical work).

I bought one (with a gift card!) and its doing my two plants good along with a 100W CFL. I'd still get a higher wattage though.

Well we built the cabinet last night and we ended up having to make it 4' x 4' x 2'. After seeing how wide it is I'm beginning to question the 150watt. I could buy 2 of them and have 2 light sources spread out, but then I found this on ebay and it kinda seems like a no brainer. More than twice the light for only $60 more bucks. I think I'm gonna pull the trigger on this one I'm sure myself and my plants will be much happier. I no that's not an ideal reflector but I like the fact that I can adjust it. What do you guys think seems like a great deal to me. Anyone have experience with this company? Thanks for all the responses so far!

www.buylighting.com has parts they sell to build your own for a lot less than that. for example,1000w with bulb socket and ballest 200.00.
check it out.
also look at the cfl stock, you might find somthing ther that amuses you.
good luck.
