In a move Democrats criticized as gamesmanship, Senate Republicans brought up the withdrawal measure and quickly dispatched it _ for now _ on a 93-6 vote.
Kerry called the vote "fictitious" and promised further debate next week on the issue. He and five other Democrats were in the minority on the vote _ Russ Feingold of Wisconsin, Barbara Boxer of California, Robert Byrd of West Virginia, Tom Harkin of Iowa and Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts.

The guy sure hates to loose.....unless it's a war. 93-6 is "fictitious"?

So MOST democrats voted to "stay the course" like they critisize President Bush for? You don't say? Reality, what a concept... ;)

Bush and Reality = Karl Rove and Jesus telling him what to say and do.
I'll take my odds on fantasy, thank you very much..... :smokin:
What's goin' on IAm?

Speaking of fantasy, you have the nerve to talk about President Bush and reality?

NO I was talking about you and your anti-Jesus/Republican crap that you seem to regurgitate a lot...
I see you're still deluding yourself, he's no flip-flopper, like the left. I bet more people would still rather BBQ with Presidnt Bush than Kerry or Gore. That's pretty real. Bitter much? ;)

Jesus would probably slap the shit out of GW.
And Jesus was a socialist!
Where you been Iam, I missed your Rush Lumbaughesque rhetoric the last few days?

All the crap you talk about Jesus/Republicans and you assume He'd be a liberal? He wasn't a socialist, he was Jesus. He was all about *charity* not the government stealing from citizens, making them slaves of the government. Jesus was about morality, something leftist moral relativists would know little to nothing about. Do you think He'd wear a PETA t-shirt and be a vegan too?
I don't make this site a priority due to obvious conflicts, which is exactly my point about many hate spewing "potheads" who think they're helping but, actually, hurt our cause with their insane babbling instead. I believe in the cause, I just have no faith in the community to do the right thing, *for* the cause. I don't listen to Rush a lot (I prefer Larry Elder, tbh), he must be right about the left too. ;)

Darwin loves you, man, but he's still working out the kinks...
BTW - you couldn't hit me with a lawn dart. I float like a butterfly... and I'm a vertically challenged 2'x1"

That's your response? You really DO think Jesus would be a vegan, don't you? ;)
Since you're a "little person," I just wouldn't lead you as much, when you run, then... :D

No, but I think Jesus would eat a sensible diet comprised of a proper ratio of the essential macro nutrients (cooked or uncooked)... and a daily multi-vitamin, too.
And I'm not a person, I'm a little liberal pacifist who's good at lawn darts.

Well, finally, I can't argue with that. I think he would eat a sensible diet too. He wouldn't be a vegan and he wouldn't be a socialist but he'd most likely eat right.
Oh, a liberal pacifist, I guess I'd have to lead you even less then. :D

What's this about being little, Gray Matter? Are you really vertically challenged or are you just kidding us again?

No, I'm not vertically challenged, I only used that as a tactical diversion in the event I have to confront Iam at lawn darts at 20 paces.
I'm actually 6'x1", which means I'd make a perfect target...

OK, well, I'm glad. For some reason I was imagining you as tall, and so you piqued my curiosity with the words "vertically challenged."
I'm 5' 10" myself. Which can in itself be a vertical challenge at times.

Couldn't the pacifist part make you more of a target than your size?

There you go, I figured you on the upper vertical distribution based on your avatar... but I bet your legs are a lot nicer than mine... Peace, baby!

Ah, yes, Karl... I'll have to look at his body of work... While my primary modality is as a lover, I can switch to a warrior on a dime if need be, usually when confronted with grave and immediate danger.

My legs aren't quite as pixellated as those on my avatar, fortunately!
They are some pretty decent legs if I do say so myself, even if they're far too long to be accommodated by standard-length women's slacks. I have the odometer reading on my bike--and on a number of treadmills and stair-steppers at the gym--to thank for their quality. I could kick some conservative ass if I set my mind to it. And look darn good while doing so.
Namaste, sugar!

I don't know if this was about his legs or mine. But suffice it to say that mine are smooth and hairless. I pay good money to a laser place to see that that's the case.

He's not alone in his opinion either...
"Beware lest in your anxiety to avoid war you obtain a master." -- Demosthenes
"War is evil, but it is often the lesser evil." -- George Orwell
I love that Orwell quote because all of the lefties are convinced 1984 was about Republicans when the UN is the big brother he warned us about. ;)
